Agreed, I have to get to know a Woman so I learn who she is. I want to know her heart and her will is good. Women who like me come to me and ask me, I have no problem as long as they understand we must be come friends and then we will grow into something as we learn about each other.

This is a cool idea, btw. Also, I hope things in TX are not a mess for you, family, and friends.
Okay, you are out with your camera, capturing scenes that you think you can get submitted to the paper or something... a photography fan of sorts. Well, you've done some research, and one day there you are- in FRONT of him a good ways, taking some pictures, and you are facing him, and take a picture, and still looking around for other things to photograph. There! You weren't after him. You were before him, and what's great is he saw you take the shot. So he can walk on, or wait while you carefully take some more and he pieces together a question to ask about the whole thing.
That, and some truth to what you are doing with your camera could create some conversation.
How's that for a really clever/cheesy lead in?

Ya know - I think I "stumbled" upon the best way to get him to notice me.
PRAYER
That's right - I prayed to God about my interest in him, and just kept doing what I do, and next thing you know one day I'm having a conversation, then there he is. Joining the conversation.
About a week later he asked me to dinner :)
