I guess the answer to that depends on where you want your soul to spend eternity.

I decided I didnt want to be in hell for a few moments passion in the here and now myself.

You wouldn't be, anyway. Besides the fact that kissing someone isn't a sin and its not necessarily going to lead a good Christian couple to something that IS immoral by God's standards, I do believe that Christ did die for ALL of our sins.

Just a little overdramatic isn't it?

Having sex with someone outside of marriage does not condemn someone to hell. It is a sin and cannot be condoned.

Applying your logic to my life, being that I have indeed kissed my girlfriend affectionately, has my eternal path been settled because of those few moments of "passion"?

I hardly think so.

Precisely.

There are many many Christians in the world today who've had sex before they got married. It's a sin. It's not the unforgiveable sin.

I do not condon anyone having sex before they get married, Christian or not.

The ONE thing that sends someone to hell is not accepting that Jesus Christ died for our sins and repenting of those sins.

Glad someone understood (and even agreed!) with what I was trying to say.

I will say again that I still have concerns that your bf agreed to waiting until you were both married but kissed you anyway. Again, it could be a suggestion that he expects you to do as he wants all through your marriage.

This is an important issue and you need to talk about it.

thanx. we talked abt it just a few day ago, since u mentioned it. told him i felt he'll go ahead and do whtever he wished whn we got married even if i didn't want wht he wanted. we came to an understanding that my "no" is "no"

isn't that what our concience does for as. prompting us when we're going the wrong way. for example, some people say that if you don't hv inner peace abt the one you want to marry then you hv to check it. that's wht i meant by "comfort".
i didn't hv that inner peace abt kissing him.

But sometimes our emotions overrides our conscious and we do things we never intended to do.

I am really glad that you talked. Keep on doing so.

If you're concience isn't in line with Scripture, then it's useless. And having "inner peace" about who you want to marry is lovely, but if you have "inner peace" about marrying, say, a convicted child rapist (as hard as it may be to believe, there are men on death row who have women lining up to marry them ), then that "peace" is clearly not helpful either.

I'm not saying you're doing that. I just think you need to be aware that feelings and emotions are unreliable for use as a moral compass. You need to make your decision based on Scripture (Does God approve?), wisdom (Might this lead me into sin?), and practicality (If I do this can I truly maintain my purity?), whether or not your feelings tell you it's OK.
