'Morning... I'm reserving judgement on the "good" part yet.

Hi everyone
Can I just blow off some steam in here?
I promise I won't knock over your knick knacks or punch a hole in the drywall.

I can?
Why o why I ask, do people go into threads that they know are going to make them mad then flip flop on their opinion and THEN try to tell everyone to "just stop" the conversation because they say so??

Ok I am done, thank you for the use of the room.

*skips merrily out of the room*

I don't know why they do that either but it's really annoying...

-----------------------

Lioness - I didn't sleep well either. Between doggie having the scratchies again, and kitties thinking it was drag racing across my bed time and really bizarre (I mean really bizarre) dreams last night, I'm ready to go back to bed and it's not even 7am yet...

Ugh, Phosy. I'm sorry all that was going on last night. I really hate the dreams that have a lingering effect and make me feel or the rest of the day.

I'm not the only one, right?

I honestly don't remember most of my dreams, but if I do, they are soooooo strange....

....like the cannibalistic ducks...

That's not a dream...

Raising kids is like being pecked to death by ducks.

True Lioness. My SOL has the cutest little plaque, shaped like a chicken that says that same sentiment... "Raising children is like being pecked to death by a chicken" or duck... whatever fits!

No seriously. I had the day before been told about 2 ducks in a friends pond and one just went under, like being pulled under, and never came back up. So, in my dream it was another duck under there....

My dreams are usually bizarre - but last night was bizarre even for me...

Although, I've never been eaten by ducks before... Other creatures maybe... But not ducks...

It's a LOVELY overcast day (rain, lots of rain) in northeast Arkansas. I am here, but if I seem to have ignored a post directed at me, you can pretty well bet I've nodded off at my desk. Or maybe even went across the hall to doze in a recliner....
...wonder if one of those recliners would fit behind my desk....

Here you go. Looks like I'm on the other side of the wide band of precipitation from you, Jeannie. You can see on the linked map that if it continues to flow up from the south a few thunderstorms may arrive. Just letting you know I have about the same weather, work to do, and no recliner.

I don't think we got any storms.......or maybe we did. As a matter of fact, I DID sleep extremely well last night. I bet we did!!!

I watched some of the debate last night - more than I wanted but BW had the remote. I thought McCain addressed the ludicrous notion that McCain is Bush clone. I believe the main reason he won the Republican race was precisely because he is not a copy of W and only a doodlehead would claim (or believe) he is. Of the two candidates, I believe McCain is more likely to think outside the party box, reach across the aisle, and take us in a reform direction.

But, as usual, I don't have much of an opinion one way or another on this or any other topic.

I think he addressed the issue directly and did so very well; however, neither Obama or the press can seem to get the wax out of their ears. Both continued to repeat that same old chant over and over during and after the debate.

morning all.

it is supposed to rain here today at some point. however, my cat sitter from when i was on vacation in september, has 'borrowed' our umbrellas, so we don't have any.

he keeps saying he'll bring them back, but he's forgetful.

oh well, it's an ok day so far. better than i expected actually...seeing as how i kinda sorta got into a wee bit of an altercation with another employee yesterday. i am just waiting around to see if she tries to drag me to HR. it will be fun ...but i doubt it will happen.

Update....

No baby yet... sigh...

Prayer Request...

A friend of mine just called... her mother collapsed and has been taken to the hospital.... if you get a chance, please say a quick prayer for her.

My friend is also going through a tough divorce and is a relatively new Christian.... so lift her up if you will.

Thanks

Amy

I have probably opened a can of worms and caused much work for the moderators. But I would like all the intelligent people who post here to contribute HERE.

Jeannie . . . does that mean that we're not the intelligent people Sam was talking about?
