joy2give2u: you just have the ability to see the positive in all situaions. And that's definitely a plus in being able to define whether a moment is great or not. All things being considered there are some incidents that are most definitely not great, but apart from those there are people who see positives in most moments in their lives. That's a good thing. All things work for good for those that love God - (paraphrase)

Okay, I must be getting to bed soon....but I had to chime in with my Great Moments of Singlehood: *Standing at the fridge and squirting whipped cream in your mouth for dessert *If you're a woman, cutting your hair without anyone bemoaning the loss. *Creating a weekend-long romantic comedy marathon, eating cereal or possibly dessert for dinner, and giving yourself a pedicure. *Deciding to just take a week and go visit a friend in Colorado and let them show you around the beauty that is the rocky mountains. *Taking off for an afternoon to have lunch and a movie alone. *Accidentally leaving your clothing in the other room, or a towel, when getting out of the shower, and not caring that you're trotting across the apartment natural. I grant you, once married this wouldn't be an issue, but if I had a roommate or a child to worry about...yes.

I had two great moments tonight. My niece was at our house this afternoon, and she and I had a conversation that for some reason or other, which I can't remember now, that involved the definition of an adult and a kid. She told me I was a kid. I told her that I was an adult. She said, "Well, you're kind of a kid." Again, I told her I was an adult. She said, "Ok, well you're an adult kid." The other great moment was sitting in our jacuzzi for a long time (which I don't often get around to), and getting some pain relief.

It's been so long since you've been here Don't go away again By the way, whenever any woman with long hair cuts it there is at least one fellow who mourns the loss. quote:

John_O - something that kills my Hoover, plugs the drain, gets between my back and the seat making turning my head difficult, and that gives me migraines isn't really worth mourning ;)

But if it gets chopped then I mourn. Just my personal preference I guess.

I'd have to say my greatest 'single' moments have been my cross country (mostly mexico, but some US) roadtrips... I'd make general plans, but my specifics depended on where I was, what I wanted to do/see, and who I met along the way... I can't do it as much now, living with my sis (she worries when I am late home from work LOL), but I still am very much a 'wanderer' at heart...

I love traveling, road trips and the best are when you have a general plan - but you leave enough flexibility to do all sorts of things and to have lots of neat surprises along the way. I wonder sometimes - if I were to be married, who in the world could put up with this?

I will take off - cross country in a moving van pulling a full trailer for my car - and do it alone. I've had men tell me how much they admire me for doing it, etc. You think they'd offer to help? Never! LOL I will go on a trip at a moment's notice. It's awesome.

OneofHisJewels - I can't believe I missed the story. I went back and read it. High compliment indeed - an adult kid - it means you are young at heart.

less it's a relatively close distance, give me a plane any day! I think I've watched too many episodes of Mayday, lol. I am afraid of plane rides, but I can do it, and have done it numerous times. But if a place can be driven, I'd drive it before I fly. I have tonnes of road trips planned in the future. And Jewel, that was a nice compliment. That would have me beaming from ear to ear if a child calls me that. My daughter always calls me an old fart, lol. But today in the pool, she said she has a really hot mom who looks like she's 17, lol. She was trying to get me to buy her an ice cream cone...ha ha. Kids...they make life so wonderful!

Well, even if you're daughter had ulterior motives, I agree with her (NOT about being an old fart, what she said in the pool today).

Unless it's a relatively close distance, give me a plane any day! I'll usually take he van if I'm bringing the Girl. It's just so very much cheaper and I can bring my toys. If it's just me (seldom happens) I'll fly and rent the toys.

Never! LOL I will go on a trip at a moment's notice. It's awesome. Truthfully, I think this is one of the major reasons I am still single- people can't handle the fact that I am ready and willing to hop the next bus to who knows where to do whatever for/with who knows who... they are looking for a more 'stable' partner (I have been told this, but with a name like Kuku you think they meant something else?? Nahhhhhhhhhhhhh). I asked God years ago that he make me finally wanting to 'stay in one place' a sign that He wants me to consider something more in a relationship, and so far, that hasn't totally happened. It has, to a small degree, and if that door opens further, hey, no complaints here... If not, Lis (or Robb), in June, I'll meet you in Indy in front of the area where the buses park, rather than going through the terminal LOL...
