BTW folks, how many of you realize that guinea pigs were originally bred for food? That's right, up in the Andes they were on the menu!

ORIGINAL: Ruthie I absolutely adore them. They're so pretty and elegant. I love everything about them, from their cute little noses to their adorable little tails. Or very large tails as dictated by the species. Anacondas I sort of dislike but mostly from aesthetics : they're fat and an ugly green. Reticulated pythons are absolutely cool and pygmy rattlesnakes are the most adorable little buggers on this green earth. Awwww. I also like spiders and frogs and lizards and turtles. Mice, though. Oh man, keep those far away from me. Beady eyed little freaks! Miserable horrid little things deserve being eaten alive! Ick! Ugh! Gack! Does this make me wierd? Just feed them to the snakes instead!

I haven't eaten GP's, but I regularly eat squirrel and groundhog, both of which are rodents, and rabbit. Were I visiting anyone who was Quechua or other Andeans who do eat GP, I wouldn't turn my nose up at it. Who knows, given the way the world is going we may end up eating guinea pig and other "pets" just to survive. I do NOT eat possum. Possums eat carrion, and are nasty.

I don't like snakes, i should say that they creep me out. The way they slide through the grass and hide. you just never know where they might be. If I see one, I will go the oppisite direction.
