Slip your ring(s) off your hand you usually wear them on and put them on the same fingers of the other hand.

  1. Are you male or female?
  2. Are you left-handed or right-handed?
  3. Which fingers are the smaller -- those on your right hand or those on your left?

Me, too![sm=error.gif]

I am female.

I am left-handed.

The fingers on my left hand are smaller than the fingers on my right--at least my ring fingers. I didn't try the others, because I only have rings on my left ring finger. I don't know why I seem to be different from everybody else. Hopefully somebody else will show up who uses their smaller hand, too!

Right hand is larger than the left. Got my wedding band stuck on the right hand ring finger and had to have it cut off.

Female
Fingers on my right hand are smaller.
Wear my class ring on my middle finger on my right hand
(yes I still wear it after 32 years of graduation)
Also wear my new birthstone ring my husband bought me last Christmas
on my "ring finger" of the right hand
Wear my wedding rings and anniversary ring on my left hand "ring finger"
Wear my mothers ring on my middle left finger
Could'ent interchange them if I tryed right now. Fingers tend to swell for a week every month

My left foot is bigger than my right. The left leg is also longer.

Maybe that's why I can't dance.[&:]

Being left-handed, I wonder if the size of the most-used hand becomes more muscular with use as we age. But I don't know.

If it does, why didn't it work on Kimmie, Christstar and me? I think I have a theory. Maybe. I don't know about Kimmie and Christsstar, but I'm not completely left-handed. I write with my left hand, and eat with my left hand, but some things done with large muscles, like bowling, I tend to do right-handed. But things done with large muscles don't really work your fingers that much, do they?

My left hand definitely dominates, but I am very ambidextrous. But you young whipper-snappers -- we can't prove anything by YOU! [:D]

WesP -> RE: If you wear rings, read the post before answering. Thanks! (8/18/2008 9:27:55 AM)

Actually, the preferred hand is more muscular. The diameter of the fingers is affected by more than one characteristic. Some of these are amount of body fat, amount and/or type of work performed using preferred hand, amount of water retention, etc.

christsstar -> RE: If you wear rings, read the post before answering. Thanks! (8/18/2008 12:34:30 PM)

I'm not sure how much work my ring fingers really do. And it's just that one finger that is smaller on my right. The rest I think are bigger on my right. But I could be mistaken. I also have swollen knuckles from years of cracking my knuckles. I think that plays a roll too.

I'm odd in that my left foot is bigger than my right foot too, usually it's the dominant foot.

I'm ambidextrous at heart. I really want to be, and I do many things as a left-hander would do them, but I'm really a rightie.
