3. Love each other. Wake up eveyr day and make the decision to love your spouse no matter what.
4. Hand in hand with that let your spouse know you love them every day. In our house "I love you" was the most spoken phrase (and still is).
5. Husbands to be, get used to doing some housework. I've heard it said that nothing is sexier to a woman than her husband pushing the vacuum cleaner.
6. Wives to be, treat him like a king and he will treat you like a queen
7. Husbands, spoil your wives. Wives, spoil your husbands. Don't spoil the children, spoil each other.
8, Make Jesus the absolute center of your marriage. As the billboard says "Loved the wedding, now invite me to the marriage". If teh two of you are continually growing closer to God you can't help but grow closer to each other.
9. Give each other a little space. A good marriage is like a good fire. Stay close enough to keep each other warm yet far enough apart so you each can breathe.
(*A scriptural case can be made for getting out in teh case of adultery, abuse or abandonment)

Advice..........find a good married couple to use as mentors........get together with them as a couple and individually...........let them be your spiritual parents when it comes to marriage.
