Ok, the tile is gone in the basement and we are down to the original concrete floor which is in pretty good condition. There are some settling cracks in it, but I know I can buy that stuff you just pour in them and they fill in, or the concrete patch in a tube. BUT now what I need to know is what to do next. I always start things without a plan. We want to paint the floor with that paint kind of like you use in a garage, but they make one for basements also. It is beige or white and you have this confetti like stuff that you spread over it when it is wet to give it a bit of design and hide flaws in the floor. I know I need to remove some adhesive from parts of the floor, but other than that, I am not sure if I need to prep the floor or just paint it. Any suggestions?
