TheBibleTRUTH -> The Reason for Creation (8/9/2008 6:32:52 PM)

Hi!, So I've been doing a study / teaching and I wanted to post my findings and also get some input. Thanks for the help and hope you don't mind! ------------------ I'm going to share on God's reason for creating the world and us. Ephesians 1:3-5 3) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: 4) According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: 5) Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, This is a great chunk of scripture, it talks about how we were picked out before the world even began. That means that he knew each and everyone one us before he even created Earth. That is pretty amazing. He also went a step further and preplanned us to be his sons through Christ and he made us holy and without blame. God knew exactly what was going to happen with the world, he knew each and every person's great heart and he knows who has and will believe in him. He created this plan for sonship even before Adam and Eve screwed up and stained our blood with Sin. It's pretty amazing to think about how much God loves, and thought about us, ages and ages before we were created. It says he preplanned us unto the adoption (sonship) of children by Jesus Christ before the world began. And in order to do this, he devised a plan to allow us to obtain sonship by his grace. That plan was called the Great Mystery and was revealed to us in depth by the Apostle Paul. Colossians 1:26-27 26) Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: 27) To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: It says this mystery was hid for ages and ages and from generation to generation, but is now made manifest. The "now", is referring to after the Day of Pentecost, when it was made available to have Christ in you. Since the beginning of time he had this plan to allow us to be Sons. I John 3:1 1) Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. This word behold, means to, "wake up" or "pay attention." Then "what manner" means to be in awe, or be in wonder and amazement (the first time it's used is when Jesus Christ calms the storm and the apostles say "behold what manner of man this is..."). We should be amazed that we are the sons of God. That we are in his family and share in the inheritance of heaven. So why did God make this plan, create the way for us to be sons before we were even born, and made us heirs to the kingdom of God? He must have wanted something. God has everything he could ever want, I mean he's God, but there is one thing he desires above all things, and that is to have a family. In the Old Testament, he had many names like Jehovah, El Shaddai, Elohim. However, in the New Testament, he doesn't have those names as it was based primarily in Greek. But he does have one occurring title that is used many, many times, and that is Father. See he just wanted to be our Father the entire time, and he just wanted sons to fill his family. And as his sons he hasn't held anything back from us: Romans 8:32 - He spared not us only son for us, why wouldn't he freely give us all things I Corinthians 3:21-22 - All things are yours, both now and to come. II Corinthians 4:15 - All things are for your sakes. Creation came about because God wanted a family. He blessed his family by, before time, devising a plan to grant us sonship through Christ. He sent his only begotten Son for our sins so that we could be in his family. How amazing! I John 4:8-10 8) He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 9) In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. 10) Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. God's love is greatly manifested in that he sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to be a propitiation (payment) for our sins. This just leaves me in awe. To know that all of creation was for us, that all of the Old Testament prophets prophesying about Christ, Christ's life on Earth and his resurrection; was so that our sins would be washed clean and that most of all, we could be in God's family. He hasn't held anything back from us, not on Earth, and not in heaven either. He spared not his own Son, he gave us everything on Earth, and he is going to spend all of eternity blessing us as we love him back perfectly. Ephesians 2:4-7 4) But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5) Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) 6) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: 7) That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. Verse 7 is talking about the ages to come, in heaven, that God will show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness to us through Christ. He is going to spend eternity showing us the riches of His grace. Romans 8:17 17) And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. We are heirs of God! We are also joint-heirs with Christ! Once we get to heaven will be able to fully appreciate everything God has done for us, because we will have the mind of Christ, and will be able to fully comprehend the scope of God's love for us. Lastly, I want to close with what God's inheritance is, which is a great and amazing truth of the Bible that just leaves me in awe: Ephesians 1:18 18) The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, God's inheritance is in the saints! His inheritance is every believer that ever got born again and became sons into his family! God, through creation, his actions, and his love towards us proves that he wanted a family to love and to bless for all eternity. Consider yourselves blessed to have a loving God and Creator, and to be in the best possible situation of anyone for all eternity. ------------ Thanks for any feedback, suggestions, complaints, and threats! God bless you in the wonderful name of Jesus Christ.
