Pamsy -> presidential debates (8/5/2008 5:31:05 PM)

I was wondering when the offical debates start since there is only 90 days until Super Tuesday. Anybody recall about when? And they havent even announced who they are picking for vice president running mates yet.

I believe the first debates occur in September. Probably shortly after the republican convention, so I'm thinking the second week of September?

It's on Sep 26 at the Univ. of Miss. (Ole Miss). The link is here.

Although he said, "I will debate him any time, anywhere," Obama has refused to debate McCain so far because Obama is afraid of the townhall style of debate, and only wants the formal debate where you get to read your prepared remarks off of a teleprompter and your responses off of notecards.

To be fair the debates should give Obama a few more moments to answer than McCain to allow for all the uuuhjhh and stuttering Obama does when ask a substantive question.

Thanks

Or maybe both candidates could use a few extra minutes-Obama to stutter and McCain to remember the question asked and to answer without mixing up what he MEANT to say:
