I have heard of the Creation Museum in Kentucky. Can anyone tell me a little more about it and where it is? What city? General Directions? Thanks. Bob

Not familiar with one in Kentucky, am familiar with the one in Texas outside of Ft. Worth. The museum is interesting, the guy who runs it is a flake. Thanks RC

There is something of sorts on the way to Palm Springs. On the side of the 10 frwy next to the casino you will see some dinosaurs. The guy who bought it turned it into a creations museum and gift shop.

The one in Kentucky was started by Ken Ham, who used to be with ICR. If I recall correctly he broke away from them because he wanted to focus on the midwest and ICR was focusing their efforts on the east and west coasts. I've seen Ken Ham speak before, and he's really good. He kind of looks like Abraham Lincoln and has an Australian accent.

When I say dinosaurs I mean buildings that were built in the 50s or 60s that are in the shape of dinosaurs and painted to match. Check it out, pretty good size dinosaurs.

The museum and the fossils, footprints, etc. is wll worth the trip to Glen Rose, Tx. Thsnks RC Many (all?) of "Dr." Baugh's claims (including those regarding the coincident man & dinosaur tracks) have been rejected by the rest of the YEC community, much less the scientific community in general. His degrees are bogus and his interpretations of the evidence are suspect, at best. At least one of his examples, the Burdick track, is a carving, not a footprint. Even if you believe in YEC, he (along with Kent Hovind, Ron Wyatt and a few others) are best avoided. -Dan.

Sounds like the "museum" in Texas would be the one the media would highlight if they had to do a story on a creation museum to make us look as stupid as possible. However, Ken Ham's Answers in Genesis creation museum is well done from what I've heard. My small group went through one of Ken Ham's dvd series and it has a lot of good science and analysis in it. Real answers to skeptic's questions, etc. Oh, and no cheapo-looking stuff either. Creation Museum homepage They seem to be close to the Cincinnati airport.

Yes, it's very state of the art. It's not cheap looking at all. It's right up there with the nicest museums I've been to.

My wife and I live in Cincinnati, and we've been waiting to go until our son and his family come home on furlough from the mission field (which they are in November, praise God!). So we plan to take them all on a day trip there. Of course, when it opened it got the usual har-har, "what-a-bunch-of-hayseeds" treatment from the Cincinnati Enquirer--University of Cincinnati--Xavier University truimverate of snarkiness, but that's okay.

It would be an easy trip to the one in Cincinnati. I am looking forward to going. As for the one in Texas, I hope to visit relatives next spring, and also would like to see the one down around Fort Worth.

There's a place called Rough Creek Lodge in Glen Rose.....my wife and I go out there for the weekend occasionally..... I'll have to look for it the next time we're out that way (maybe).....
