Lynn, I hope things work out for your son and the bus. Its a horrid thing that in today's society things as antiquated as racial issues are still a problem.

Well...he just got home and told me whatever I did worked. He said the boys who were causing him the problems came up to him after school today and APOLOGIZED to him. I told him not to sit in the back anymore and the assist. principal said the bus driver would be assigning seats. So...whatever the principal said to the boys apparently worked...for now...also she was calling the bus company...the driver got up before she took off to tell them to stop calling names and harrassing others. They all knew what she meant because they had all been called into the office today. He came home really happy today. PTL!!! Thanks for all the prayers that went up today.

Lynn I am glad it all worked out. I was about if "uncle" Qtman needed to come ride the bue with his S.C. Bud and straighten those guys out.

That is one thing in life that grates my nerves. My own family annoys me about it. They think because somebody is different than them that they can judge them and think that they are less of a person. God created everybody! We all have that in common. We won't have segregated Heaven. We are all a part of the body of Christ. So for someone to judge somebody because of the color of their skin, their opinion, where they live or are from, or because of their lifestyle makes me angry. I don't understand why we all can't get along. I'm sorry if i'm stepping on toes, but if they're getting stepped on, then maybe you need to do some thinking.

Howdy, Y'all.... We just got back in from World Premier and don't think I'll catch up reading and answering e-mails for a while. Just got to tell you one of the funniest things that happened at the World Premier. She'll never live it down.
Carol's back was bothering her and there was two of those plush seats (Santa knows what I'm talking about) empty. They had been empty since the program started. Tuesday night I told Carol to go up there and sit in one thinking it would help her back somewhat. She sit in one. Kirk Talley came on the program to sing and Carol dozed (went sound to sleep) in the chair. Kirk came off the stage and got right in front of her singing on the other side was the tv camera and Kirk then woke her up. It was the most funny thing you can imagine when she work up and all the audience watching her. Well, it was funny to everybody but Carol.
I couldn't let it go, I had just booked Kirk for a concert next March along with Triumphant Quartet and they had just got the contract back in the office. I went to Kirk's table during intermission and told him that I was having to cancel the contract with him in March. I can't describe the look on his face when I told him that. Then with out much hesitation, I told him that that was my wife that he woke up on the front row.
Well so much for the fun. It was a great time. Got to see Santa and Sharon Marie as well as frog while we were there. Had Jeremey from Old Paths call Santa while we were there, thend late Monday evening Santa came by and saw him.

Bobby, wish I could have been there for that Tuesday night. But I also know how Kirk likes to embarass people if he gets a chance.
Thanks for having Jeremy give me a call Monday night. Did not know at the time I would get by there but decided tot ake a chance and see who might still be there.
Hate to hear that Jerry Goff will not be the MC any longer. Sure will miss him.

Sam, I just got off the phone with the Governor. He said Sam who????
I said Sam Johnson, you're right hand man that lives down in LA and he said Sam Johnson Who? and I said that guy that does all that good work for you. I said he is like Columbo. And he said oh I know him. Been thinking about giving him a vacation. Wonder how many weeks he needs or maybe a few years off might help him out....................well, actually help us all out. Get him out of our hair for a while.
Really Sam, did not mean for it to go that far. Was just trying to be a Blessing, dontchaknow!!

I think we are having steak and potatoes tonight. Dad was out of town till this morning. He may have to leave again. He's handling some stuff for his mom in the lower part of the state. I hope he takes Mom and the dog next time. Otherwise the 2 of them whine the whole time he is gone.

At the World Premier, I met Clint Kerns. He has a website www.southerngospeltube.com where he post videos of groups. I have visited the website and he has some excellent old videos posted there as well a some Church choirs. He welcomes anyone who wants to submit videos that he can post. As I understand he is going to be working of a web page for the World Premier so that anyone can be updated and informed about the World Premier in Pigeon Forge each August.
