I didn't know that--that's neat!

When did he write it? I have it on a Blackwood Brothers recording from 1972. (Didn't realize he was old enough to have had a published song that far back!)

You are talking about the song that goes,

"Heaven, Heaven, So Much talk about Heaven, one of these days I'm going there" (Blackwood Brothers, Gold City, Spoken 4)

and not the song Gold City and the Mark Trammell Trio recorded, right?

My all time favorite Gold City project is Pillars of Faith...I also loved the song "You're At the Well" because my Sheltie (Shadow) use to sing with it, cant remember which project it's on though...can anyone help me? Thanks

"You're At The Well" is on the "Preparing The Way" CD. That was the first CD with Jonathan Wilburn as the lead singer. It was released in 1996.

Thanks for the information Brad.

I don't think that it has more to do with the fact that it is a newer CD as much as it is a great CD. I think the overall style of southern gospel is beginning to change a little and the selection of the songs on Revival appeal to this change perfectly without going too progressive.

But in terms of Gold City's all-around fresh material mixed with good traditional music, I'd go with the latest one, Moment of Truth.

I agree with Moment of Truth and it looks like it is gaining ground on revival in the poll.

That's the LP where the Blackwood Brothers are pictured wearing the wierd sparkley-pinkish-red suites, right?

Oh it was so hard to pick between these: Are You Ready, 20th Anniversary Celebration, Volume 1 and 2, Pressed Down, Shaken Together, Running Over, Camp Meetin', Walk The Talk/ Walk The Talk Live, A Gold City Christmas, First Class/ First Class Live, Heaven, Revival, and Moment of Truth!
I Love Gold City and I've been a fan of them since I can remember!
My mom brought Southern Gospel Music in the house before I was even born and I've listened to it all my life growing up!

"Walk the Talk" is (IMO) representative of the best SG quartet that ever existed in my generation. "God Handled It All" with the lineup of Parrack, Wilburn, Riley, and Riley was second to none...even my current favorites.

I voted for "Are You Ready" since that's the one I have but I think it's "Walk the Talk" that I also really like.
