There are some very good projects to choose from......for sure this is a hard decision to make. I'm not counting in the poll re-issues or compilations, just original table/lable projects If Signed, Sealed, Delivered had came out in 2000 or later, I would pick that, no question about it. Since that one isn't elligible, my favorite is 24K Gold. But it's a compilation of previously recorded Gold City hits, so for the projects in the poll, I'm at a tossup between the 20TH Anniversary Celebration videos and Campmeetin'.

I may be the only person to vote for my favorite, First Class. It's one of the few projects in my collection that I don't skip a single song when I listen to it. I'd rank the rest of them this way: 1. First Class 2. Revival 3. Walk the Talk 4. Heaven 5. Moment of Truth 6. Camp Meetin' 7. Are You Ready? 8. 20th Anniversary Celebration, Volume 1 & 2 9. Pressed Down, Shaken Together, Running Over I don't have nor have I got an opportunity to listen to A Gold City Christmas.

I voted for 20th Anniversary Celebration. I tend to prefer live projects, at least if they have a live band. Are You Ready? Would be my favorite studio project. I'd rank the 10 this way: 1. 20th Anniversary Celebration, Volume 1 & 2 2. Are You Ready? 3. Pressed Down, Shaken Together, Running Over 4. First Class 5. Walk the Talk 6. Camp Meetin' 7. Heaven 8. Revival 9. Moment of Truth 10. A Gold City Christmas I think I've heard all of them except Heaven, and I've heard many of the tracks from that project done live (at the live NQC feed).

Walk The Talk is the best CD I've heard from Gold City in several years. Choosing the best Gold City release from the 1990s would be much more difficult for me. Preparing The Way, What A Great Lifestyle, and Standing In The Gap are fantastic. My personal favorite from that decade is Acapella Gold* *Even though their record label didn't know how to spell "a cappella."

My favorite, The Very Best of Gold City, isn't on the list.

But lots vying for #2 in that era...Windows of Home, Signed Sealed Delivered, Acappella Gold, Renewed, What A Great Lifestyle... In this poll I voted for First Class. I had a hard time deciding between it and Pressed Down. I didn't consider the 20th Anniv. because they featured songs previously recorded in the 90s.

If we are talking all time favorite album, for me, it is Double Take Live from 1986.

I ended up voting for the 20th Anniversary Celebrations because on Campmeetin' the instruments are pratically buried behind the vocal mix. I've heard Go Tell It On The Mountain on the radio, but nothing else from A Gold City Christmas. Have never heard Heaven or Moment of Truth either. BUT, I have heard "I Cast My Bread On The Water" on radio yesterday, and again today. That is a good song for sure. That song raises the bar 9in my opionion) for this lineup of GCQ.

For me it is a tie between "Walk the talk" and "revival", Though I still have to get "moment of truth"

Great album for sure. Has blessed me many times.

I voted for "Are You Ready", but it was a very tough decision. I decided not to consider the 20th Anniversary projects since they are basically live versions of a couple of CDs from the 90's. Here are my favorites in order: 1. Are You Ready 2. Walk The Talk 3. First Class 4. Pressed Down, Shaken Together, Running Over 5. Revival 6. Moment Of Truth (only had this CD a couple of weeks so it could move up or down as I listen to it more) 7. Campmeetin 8. Heaven 9. Gold City Christmas Just because a CD is low on the list does not mean I do not like it. Gold City has been my favorite Quartet since the Cathedrals retired (and my second favorite before), so I love all of there CDs. BTW, I am surprised "Revival" is running away with the this poll. Don't get me wrong, it is a great CD and I voted for it for album of the year last year. It just can't quite compare to the Riley, Trammell, Parrack era. IMHO of course

ORIGINAL: MSnurse My all time favorite Gold City project is Pillars of Faith...I also loved the song "You're At the Well" because my Sheltie (Shadow) use to sing with it, cant remember which project it's on though...can anyone help me? Thanks "You're At The Well" is on the "Preparing The Way" CD. That was the first CD with Jonathan Wilburn as the lead singer. It was released in 1996.

In terms of all-around good singing, I'd pick Camp Meetin' hands down. But in terms of Gold City's all-around fresh material mixed with good traditional music, I'd go with the latest one, Moment of Truth. Favorite 90s GC album is either 10th Anniversary Live or Pillars of Faith. Favorite 80s album is Gospel Gold Live. IMO, these 4 albums pretty much sum it all up when it comes to Gold City.
