quote:
This was my original sentence: "As for my personal preference, I find overweightness and obesity to be a total turn off." Hey friend. But as an overall policy, you sitting at a desk at your office, and in walks an individual on the large side, your bias towards fat woman doesn't translate to the rest of your relationships? I find that most with a personal preference as you put it, are pretty well biased towards the entirety. I haven't found anyone that can separate disgust for a large group of society (no pun intended) from an indivdual basis. That is the thesis of my argument here. If it is a turnoff in one area, it generally is a turnoff in all areas as it relates to personal relationships. Nothing personal, just the things that I have experienced. But, what is important to me right now is getting my family where they are supposed to be, supporting my wife in her endevours, being at my office and dealing in a professional manner, supporting my church, helping my community. When I find time for myself, I assure you, excercise isn't much on my mind, but generally relaxing is. Does this make me lazy, therefore fat, well so be it, are my kids happy, Yes, they love football, soccer, tennis, karate, baseball, softball, childrens church, wednesday services, volunteering. Is my wife happy, yes, she loves being everywhere that the kids are, doing her part for our church, and all of the things that she is involved in. Am I happy, yes, I love the music I play, I love taking the kids to all of their functions, I love meeting with members of our community to develop and implement functions to benefit our society, I love meeting with church members in our small groups, and bible studies, worship team practice. Wait a minute, I didn't fit in there the 1 hour a day workout... Darn it... Get the point here Dread... I am a busy individual, not a lazy fat individual. And there are many many many people like me. So when you say that obesity is a turn off, I say it is part and parcel to having no time for myself but that is fine, cause everyone I know is happy. Do I like being looked down on by people who feel as though I'm just too lazy to get up a 5 a.m instead of 6 a.m. not much, but I can't help it much either.
