Hello everyone, I'm new to these boards and am just looking for a place of support and comfort as I am (and have been) facing an annoying problem since childhood.
But first, I am a strong believer in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, who died and rose for the sake of my salvation. I am in my 20's now, and since I was about 10 years old, I have suffered from what is called Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD).
This condition triggers anxiety and panic attacks that seemingly have no off button like a "normal" person may have. I read parts of a book a few weeks ago by Rebecca Brown which was about a women involved in a satanic cult who later became a Christian. The details she gave of the practices of the occult were enough to trigger severe anxiety and panic throughout my body's system. Through these last 3 weeks God has revealed Himself many times, but the condition I suffer does not automatically remove the worries and anxieties (even though I know God has responded to my prayers).
I'm just trying to cope with this as it affects my life on a day to day basis.
