And quite frankly he frightened me to death! Thanx Armydude!

I said: we're not all experienced and well educated pastors, preachers and priests. How are we to share this truth?

So, what do you think? Are YOU sharing the truth? How?

Well, I'm not a missionary, or a pastor, seminary student, etc...but

I lead worship/praise for our church's youth ministry. The students bring friends from their school who are not Christians. I guess I don't "directly" share Christ with them per say, but I show them one of the ways to worship our Lord with songs and praise. I wonder if that counts?

On every job I've had, and now in the classroom (I'm back in college), I have made it very clear that I'm a Christian. Whether it was saying something like, "Praise the Lord," or "I'll pray for you," I have done my best not to mislead people. As a result, there are a lot of people that would censor themselves when I was in the area because of my faith, and also because I am a minister. I've never asked them to do that, but they do. Every once in a while, someone will ask me something like, "There's something different about you. What is it?" That's the key. There's got to be something different about you. If there isn't, what incentive does the non-believer have to even think about listening to you?

If it is apparent you are a christian by either actions or proclamtion, God will provide the witness.

Seen that a lot.

While that is an important first step, it's not the only step. We've also got to be willing AND able to tell about Jesus. Who He is, what He did, why He did it, etc.

Well i tried it at work and the result is not so good. 2 of my coworkers oftenly mocking my beliefs in God or people who believes, even scriptures. Like today i was told that it is unbelievable that in today's moderns society, people still believe in God and behave as christian! It started because a friend of mine dont want to do sex before mariage. He's got a girlfriend for 3 months and no sex with her and he is mocked because of that.

I have done so through many of jobs I have had. I use to work in a specific care hospital, that was sort of like my ministry until things changed.
I've worked in unlikely jobs here and there temporarily and I have been amazed how bold I can be, lol!
I seem to run into a lot of pagans and atheists these days, but I also found that God does not leave me alone in the adventure. After I speak my peace so to speak, I find that God has others in place.
My past job the young girl was a pagan, she found herself in a predictiment and I said, Oh I would say this, but I can't say that to you!
And of course she would ask and I would answer: Normally I would say, God does provide, but I can't say that to You!

Recently I have spoken to an atheist, she has a daughter, only to learn her husband and his family are Christian, but they can't seem to break the heart's door, so not only am I there, my boss is a reformed atheist and now born again.

I give testimony almost daily about my miracle baby and even the UPS guy stayed to hear my story. (I don't look my age, most people think I am in my 30's) so when they learn I am almost 50 that's a catcher and they listen about God's salvation and my faith in Him.

lol, here's a pro-tip.


Stop teaching your kids that non-Christians are evil.

Being an atheist in my high school was dangerous... you'd get beat up and harassed.

I was on the bus and some of the kids asked my friend Stephen what church he goes to. He told them he didn't go to church, he wasn't a Christian. They all started yelling at him, calling him evil and a Satanist and made fun of his hair (wtf?) etc.. I told them to stop, but then they started attacking me and even the bus driver started acting rude to me and Stephen from that day on.


I'm not sure if this is common strategy to make your kids hateful, but it sure isn't working.

It was kind of intimidating, armydude, when your teacher is conversing with his or her students about this and that church activity and you're just hoping they don't ask you anything.. and when they do, you better be prepared to lie or no one in that class, not even the teacher, will treat you the same.

I am not belittling the fact of living a Christian life in front of people but at some point you need to share Christ. People can know you are a good person (by human standards) and know that you go to church, but if they do not hear the Gospel how will they know Christ.

I learned long ago at the age of 10 that if you live by the Scout Law, Moto, and Oath, then you ARE witnessing.

Scout Law:

TRUSTWORTHY
A Scout tells the truth. He keeps his promises. Honesty is part of his code of conduct. People can depend on him.
LOYAL
A Scout is true to his family, Scout leaders, friends, school, and nation.
HELPFUL
A Scout is concerned about other people. He does things willingly for others without pay or reward.

A Scout is a friend to all. He is a brother to other Scouts. He seeks to understand others. He respects those with ideas and customs other than his own.
COURTEOUS

It will take time, but when people see him standing by his beliefs in the face of their mocking, it will have an effect.

I agree wholeheartedly. The silent witness (glorifying God with your actions) is only a start. You still have to say something about the love of God; the whole story, not just "Jesus loves you", but what that means. That's why it is so vital to be prepared.

Kudos for him! We have to stand firm in God, no matter how the blind world reacts!

Some people say that we can just share the Gospel by our actions.

I think this is a big excuse to avoid awkward situations or work.

Yes, we do need to bear the fruits of the spirit. When we share the Gospel and then act good, our actions compliment what we've said.

However, if we ONLY act good....it doesn't do any good.

I know some Buddhists that are very nice, polite, selfless, merciful, compassionate people...but no one is ever going to accept Christ because of what they do.

We must be willing to SPEAK AND ACT! Both are crucial.
