Those tend to be personal, and I am not sure if many men would be posting those here, to admit to women anyway.

Uhh...yea, What he ^^ said. That's a bit of an odd question for a stranger to ask in a public forum like this. Would you personally be comfortable answering this question on the "She Says" Forum?

USA-Girl -> RE: Your inner fear (7/19/2008 7:29:04 PM)

In this day and age, finding out she's not really female. [:D]

That's funny Blazingson...I've actually heard stories about this sort of thing. Talking about a man's worse nightmare...that has to be at the top.

Some are often intimidated by women and fear rejection. Or saying something stupid which may offend. This is not a problem for all men. Other than that nothing comes to mind and i don't know why this is such a problem to others who clam up and say it is too personal. It's a legit question which in my mind deserves to be answered. But saying all that ur no doubt smart enuf to know these things already. Women are intimidating these days. They dominate in almost all areas of academics. It has been job suicide to hit on women in the workplace because of sex harassment laws. For men who work the accusation is the equivalent of termination. I know many men who have been terminated including a married christian man. Now i dont know what went on but i can just imagine this man going home to his wife and telling her "well dear i got fired from my job due to an accusation of sexual harassment.'' I also know men who went to prision who swear up and down they were falsely convicted. But all this probably has little to do with with ur simple question. Just some thoughts.

Whaaaat? ^^Now that's comical[8|].

Definitely one fear is being typified to no end. For example, being a guy, therefore, I deal with women. A good poker game in mixed company, sure. But to insinuate that because someone is a guy, he deals with women- this OP has about three seconds of thought to it. Are guys dealing with women, like dealing with daily challenges at work, or dealing with a parent's illness and care, or dealing with a faulty car- that's not what real guys do. And it's not appropriate to suggest that because someone is female, that she has to be dealt with either. I'll deal with you later is not compassionate, though it is passionate. It's a promise that the worst is still to come.

Oh sure, I doubt there's anyone in this community who is typifying anyone else to that extent, but getting an overall 'stamp of disapproval' from society because of a few brothers who greatly err in their living- or by those thinking women are to be dealt with... just not something I want to see happen.

APZR -> RE: Your inner fear (7/20/2008 12:22:31 PM)

With all daughters, a BIL until very recently with all daughters, and most of my cousins being girls... I no longer have any inner fears, just outer fears. [sm=tiefighter.gif] I'm swimming in a sea of estrogen, it's just me and one pet fish! [sm=hammerhead.gif]

Young guys, what ever you do, do NOT pray to be surrounded by girls... this is not what I had in mind. [&:]

I don't think the OP meant anything bad. Maybe it would have done with a better choice of words, but I'm not sure it deserved all of that!

McFatty,
Nice reply, but it's to be to the OP, brother. At least I gave her an answer, and it's true I didn't find much to the question, and I don't want to see stereotyping in today's world. If you think I need to reconsider something, don't mess this post up with it and take away from why it's here. Looks like a senior moment of forgetfulness.
Thanks,
OneJohn410
