SuspenseWriter -> Ya'll might think this is funny (7/16/2008 2:51:00 PM)

About two years ago I got an email from a guy in Copenhagen, saying his company had been given rights by Cook to reprint my first Joe Box novel, Until the Last Dog Dies, into Dutch (foreign rights were part of the Cook contract I'd originally signed, and then promptly forgot about). Figuring it was a joke, I ignored it. Lo and behold, today in the mail I got a package from Cook containing three complementary copies of the book! It was a distinctly odd--yet good!--feeling, seeing and holding the thing. Not only is the cover completely different than the original, they gave it a different title (in Dutch it comes out, To the Last Man; again not bad!). So who'd-a-thunk anybody over there in windmill land would be interested in reading the adventures of a transplanted Appalachian PI? Sometimes the things God does to advance His kingdom, I swear...[:D]
