I made hubby tacos with homemade chips and ground buffalo. I'm trying to decide what to eat myself.

To me, it tastes like a high quality cut of steak, just ground up. Superior to regular hamburger. We're having our grass-fed calf butchered next month. Some have encouraged us to feed him corn for 30 days before, they say grass-only changes the taste. We're going to risk it though, and just keep him on grass. He's nice and fat!

It does change the taste. Grass fed tastes more like game meat. I don't have a problem with that, as some years we eat a lot of game meat and my family is used to it.

It smells more gamey, to me, esp when reheated. Hubby doesn't seem to mind. Must be what they're supposed to taste like anyway, right? Americans are just too used to grain fed red meat.

last night I made flinzen: crepe type pancakes spread with melted butter and a little sugar and rolled up. A treat.
Tonight will be shake and bake chicken, corn on the cob, and french fries.

We're going to a wedding with a reception around dinner time. If we don't get enough for dinner at the reception, I'm not sure what we'll do!

LOL, I went to this wedding once that had a sit down dinner. We didn't get a choice, it just was what it was, and while I am sure it was very good for those who liked that type of thing, I found myself having two servings of cake and at the McDonalds drive thru on the way home.

I get all grass-fed too, so lots of good omega-3s. 
I guess most places cattle are still grass fed.
