Moving on from sandwiches for now:

What does it mean to be right? To be told that one is right?

Several times those who have doubted me (on subjects that don't even matter or some that do) have strangely bothered months later to tell me, you know, you were right. Well, whoopee. I get no prize for that. I don't know for what reason they pay their penance of acquiescing, nor does it make me believe that I am always right.

Generally it's a good idea to just not blather about things you don't know about. Then you can speak firmly about what you do know about, thus giving the appearance that you are very knowledgeable indeed.

If you don't know just say so.
You're right.

heehee . . . . just couldn't help myself.

Perhaps, sometimes people come back to inform you of your being right because of the motive or heart attitude they had toward you when they thought differently. Maybe it's a subtle way of making amends?

Maybe they're someone for whom being right is very important to them and so they think it's important to everyone else.

That's what I wanted to say but I couldn't get it together right in my head to post it.

Well some of us know a little about everything but not much about anything. Where does that leave us?

I said I'd blog about what was going on with me every day but of course there's a circle of personal space, as well there should be.

Still, I think I'll tell you something personal.

I've been sitting here staring at Facebook...again...for about an hour or so, thinking about sending someone a message.

Someone I haven't spoken with in ...I think 24 years.

Don't ask for details, although there are actually no "bad" details.

Just a difference in opinion.

She thought I was going to take her to her high school prom. I never said one way or the other.

Apparently she sat there waiting for me to pick her up and take her.

Boy, was she mad!

I think I'd better let that sleeping dog lie.

Oh yeah...

Since I post about my ventures into Tennessee, I guess I'll tell you I have another destination for a trip this fall (maybe).

A month ago one of my sisters suddenly migrated north, leaving behind an excellent job. Her husband accepted a pastorate of a group and off they went, somewhere in the middle of Pennsylvania.

I'm really going to have to drive it. I hope I can get there to visit before the end of the year.

Google maps is so cool! Find the location and then click on "satellite" for photographs. Cool stuff.

Thanks; I definitely was!

I looked both ways before crossing the street . . . and everything.

And I didn't even trip over anything during the entire outing.

Not even your own feet. We know how graceful you can be sometimes. But that's another story. I won't tell it.

LOL!

You'll have to remind me specifically which story you're talking about. There's so many that are similar, doncha know.

And nope; not even over my own feet. 'Tis a proud day for me, indeed.

I was thinking about the graceful way you have of getting into vehicles. Especially large veicles.

Yeah . . . but the seat was pushed back further than where it normally was.

That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

A friend had a problem.

His wife was very angry at finding some animal droppings in her driveway.

Angry enough to make a sign about it and plant it in the yard.

The sign was the friend's problem. His wife thought some neighbor was letting dogs out at night to perform the desecration. However, dogs wouldn't have berries and nuts as their diet. Groundhogs would. And groundhogs are notorious sign-ignorers.

Someone helped his friend avoid being the laughingstock of the neighborhood. He stopped his car, hit the trunk button, uprooted the offensive sign, tossed it in the trunk and was on his way.

Gone in 60 seconds? Move over, Cage.
