Giulia -> Cycling Encouragment Thread (7/16/2008 9:20:59 AM)

Got a bike the other day for a gift, this one has gears. It glides like a surf board, goeds like a dream. It's an Avanti discover 8, it has a leather seat and the gears are in a cylinder and I was told I need to put oil in there but can't find any hole? But gee, I can see why riders wear those shorts with padding in the crotch[&:]. I ride each day to work and back home. It's around 17 km there and another 17 back. I wear a mask to keep the fumes minimal. I tell you what, the cars don't have much respect for cyclists. In many places in Melb we have sectioned off lanes for cyclists. In other places you have to be assert yourself or they run you into the gutter. Then when you go on the footpath the pedestrians get annoyed. That's frustrating because many are trying to do the right thing by the environment and others couldn't care less nor do they respect people who do.

Anyone ride for trans[port

Glad you are enjoying your new bike! There's already an ongoing bicycling thread.

As for your bike question, not a clue. But you might want to post your question on this website:
http://www.kickrunners.com/forum//forumdisplay.php?f=46 It is not a Christian site, but the multisport forum is pretty clean. There are others that are not so.

Thanks. I may just ask the guy at the shp, he used to go to school with my brother so I can use that for an opening[:D].
