Back in the day, and I don't know if you all remember this or not, but in the 60's, Petula Clark and Harry Belfonte held hands on a televison program. There were hate mail from indivisuals because they thought a white woman and a black man should not be holding hands on national televison. Another point--Sammy Davis Jr. marries his first wife, Mai Britt, and he ostrized for his choice of woman because he should have married "his kind."
And of course, Barack Obama's father is black and his mother is white.
Circa to today where interracial couples are featured on televison commercials now, and I'm glad America embracing the change because this is the "real world," even though some Americans are not embracing it. But I know one thing, for those who are not embracing it, there are many who feel that this is the norm.
