OK.

I've heard the name. I think they're some kind of rock group, but I couldn't pick their photo out of a lineup and I've never heard any of their songs. (Thankfully!)

See, Daniel does know a little bit about pop culture.

I'm a little surprised!

I hope I'm not being a bad influence on him. Sometimes I think I know too much! It's amazing how much one can pick up. I've never watched the TV shows that y'all are talking about but, even with not having cable TV most my life, I know who Sam and Diane are. Sometimes I wonder if ignorance is bliss.

Oddly enough, I kinda like being picked on (at least in this department). So don't feel bad about it.

Me, too! Like they said last page, Mr. and Mrs. Qtman.

It is. Ever wonder why babies and toddlers (often) sleep more peacefully than the rest of us?

Part of what I've been finding so amusing is that most of the time, I'm the one of (any) group that hasn't heard of such-and-such.
(Although even I know who Mick Jagger and Barney Fife are. )

I also sleep very, very well (for the vast majority of the time).

I'm sure there's a great connection to bilssful ignorance and peaceful sleep.

Actually, Les wasn't in on throwing the live turkeys from the helicopter, that brainstorm was from Mr. Carlson and Herb.

Les was reporting down below:

"Oh, the humanity."

"Some of the turkeys survived and they seem to be mounting a counter-attack."

When he got back to the station, Mr. Carlson said; "I swear, I thought turkeys could fly."

CTL's observations on ignorance and sleep, for some reason, reminded me of this.

Diane, your best bet is to send Kath or Kate at PM and ask them.

I think this is one of those threads Kate was referring to that we tend to turn into a chat thread.
So back on topic here...now that we know Amerigrandpa is planning to reveal himself at the poster meet and greet during NQC....do we have any more guesses as to who the mysterious questionmark man is????

Clarke Beasley? or Tim Riley? or Mark Trammell? or Karen Peck? or Michael Booth?

Just having a little fun throwing out some very funny possibilities!

Yes, but each poster CAN have 2 sign-ons. I thought that one of the clues that Amerigrandpa gave us a long time ago was that he is a bass singer. Except when he's playing, Gerald doesn't sing bass.

I wonder if it could be Melvin Klaudt.

At any rate, NQC will be here before we know it and we'll all probably be surprised when the real identity is revealed!

I don't know Amerigrandpa.... I hope you're not terribly let down at the forums gathering when you reveal yourself, and there are people in the room who were wishing you were someone else.

I am not too concerned about it. Probably everyone has wished I was someone else at one point or another.

You asked for a hint. I will give one: You have all, or at any rate almost all, heard of me. I am not an unknown singer you've never heard of before.

Well, that really narrows it down alot!

Well, he didn't say that he sang bass all the time.

Say, Amerigrandpa, we've heard conflicting reports about what part you sing. Just what part do you sing?

He told me he'll try to sing tenor for our NQC quartet! Not too many "real" basses can sing tenor.

No, this guy sings in a group currently - although Gene definitely sings tenor!

BTW, have we categorically eliminated it being one of the Blackwoods? (members of one of the 3)?

There used to be a host of them on here and AmeriGrandma was part of them...don't know...I just haven't ruled it out. Someone expressed doubt that AmeriGrandpa was related, but that doesn't mean he's not part of the Blackwoods. Right?

Also, are we assuming it's not the guy in the pic? Another poster categorically said that it's not him even though the suit and tie is on an artist I found on the web.

For that matter, do you know he's a "real" bass?

And yeah, Tyler, do you know? You don't have to tell us who, but do you know who it is?

I thought Gene was just recently an Ameripa, so surely not an Amerigrandpa.

It took a while to find this!

Well it looks like I'm still saying who I am at NQC unless this poll chances quickly.

I don't know if I've mentioned this before but to my knowledge I haven't said anything untrue. Now if you perhaps misunderstood something I said...I suppose that's possible.
