Don't beat yourself up over your creep-o-meter being rusty. I firmly believe that the predators are just getting more subtle.
Sadly it isn't just adults that you need to be concerned with. I am ashamed to admit that my younger brother molested a toddler when he was only 15. Unfortunately with only the toddlers account and the unwillingness of the family to press it, he went unpunished.
My wife's ex-husband became her ex partly due to his attempt to kidnap an 11 yo girl.
You can never be too cautious. My children do not get out of my sight. And woe unto the creep that attempts anything.
