Do you mean a daily average of monthly expenses, or household needs? Frivolous purchases?

On household things, some days I spend nothing...some days a lot. It all depends if gas needs to be purchased, groceries, etc.

On frivolous things it varies just as much. There are days we eat out, or go to Starbucks, buy clothing, shoes, or books, or something else not really necessary. Then there are days on end I don't spend a penny on anything. There is never a set pattern for us. We buy what we need when we need it, and buy the extras when we have the money and time to do it.

I may be wrong, but I suspect the OP means if you buy lunch out, etc, and other daily expenses, how much do you spend a day.

Today I spent $41, but later on I'm planing on spending about $10 more. Yesterday I spent 80 cents. I'm not planning on spending anything for the next three days, but I'll spend about $240 the day after that.

I think the best way to figure this is to just figure up your expenses and divide it by 30.

I buy groceries once every 1-2 weeks and then I don't need to spend any money the rest of the weeks. I buy gas 1 time a week.

Taking what I spend in an average month, not including household bills, divided by 30 is $60-70 a day... most of it is for fuel.

Well, total average expense per month, divided by 30 is $40/day. If we're just talking things like groceries and household, mine comes to $13/day.

However, I don't go shopping every day, and definately don't buy groceries or meals every day, so in reality, some days I spend $0, and some, maybe $80.

Including payroll taxes and interest on our mortgage (so ALL expenses), it's an average of $118.29/day since Jan 1.

If I get rid of taxes, it's $94.51/day.

If we want to subtract out household expenses (mortgage, utilities, insurance, etc.) and just do groceries and other such stuff, it's $56.30.

By adding my usual expenses, which are mostly groceries and gas (but not including monthly bills like house, utilities, insurance, etc.) and dividing by 30, I usually spend on average $20 a day. As for spending money on lunch, I rarely do that. I do work outside the home, but I take my lunch or come home to eat.

Each day I usually spend nothing.

I don't go out to eat, I buy groceries twice a month... I'm not a shopper.

I get $50 allowance per month, plus we have other expenses that would be spread over the month, but I don't think that is what you mean.

I use my allowance to make any kind of personal day-to-day purchases, but that often gets spent in just a couple of purchases.

I would assume the OP ment in your work day, how much do you spend on lunch, breakfast, dinner, gas to get to work, coffee, snack, parking....

But I may be off base completely?
