original: abraxas My point wasn't actually that I don't care about God---I care quite a bit about Goodness and joy, and love and things like that which, if there is a God, surely must be of Him. Whenever you post on these threads, try to make sure you don't contradict yourself or change positions. [;)] Haha! Touche... I guess I'm a walking contradiction. [:)] I care about goodness, joy, love, etc., and IF they're of god then by extension I care about God. It will be nice if there is a good and loving god (it'll be better if there's no god than if there's one like some gods I hear about). But! My belief in the impossibility of reliably answering the question, "Does God exist?" (and other related questions) has led me to conclude that belief in God is not what God, IF there is one, requires of me. Furthermore, my belief that beliefs cannot be chosen consciously strengthens that conclusion. IMHO. But anyway, is that common here, for whole threads to be swallowed up and deleted?
