Hi Y'all

As I've said before around here,
I can gain weight just reading in SG

I'm thinking about eating only celery & apples for a while to see if it's really true that you use more calories to eat them than they contain.....

would you eventually just fade away if that's all you ate ??

Well, I've had a good day.

Had a Baptist nap, finished the book I was reading, paid bills, and prepared for a special (8:00 a.m.) City Council meeting tomorrow.

And Mrs. K and I are going to have hot dogs for supper (an appropriate Sunday night summer meal if there ever was one).

As long as you put chili and slaw on them!

I had mine with mustard, chili and chopped tomato, eaten with a fork. Mrs. K likes slaw, but we didn't have any.

I am pretty much of a purist when it comes to hot dogs. I even like them rolled up in a piece of light bread with mustard (heated or right out of the fridge).

Kerrlaw,

It looks like Nicky has eaten too many hot dogs.

Nicky does not like human food. He does, however, eat a lot of cat food and prefers dry to canned. We feed them Iams multi-cat formula.

I love cranky and Kath's avatars. Diana had a great one, but she may have changed.

I plan to change mine every few days for a while to show various shots of my cats. It's hard not to see Bubba whenever I post, but he is my screensaver.

BTW, Sharon-Marie has found the perfect avatar for her.

Make sure the bacon is crisp and American cheese is best.

I was just typing up a post to help a person understand Mt 13:44:

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. Mt 13:44

My explanation centered around Spam. But to make that analogy work, I had to make God be steak.

I guess I'll have to think on this for a while.

Sounds like the man was out to cheat the owner of the field.

However, a theology built around Spam cannot be easily dismissed.

Here is my Spam theology.

I'm thinking of making it a goal to mention Spam in a post every day.

Let me count the wrappers...

Good golly--I just ate 10 little truffle creams. I'm a glutton.

I bought this big tub of Dilettante Mocha Cafe Truffle Cremes at Costco ( Costco ).

The world is full of tragedy.

It's been a fun Spam-and-chocolate-filled night, but now I am off to let Dumas thrill me with his Three Musketeers. (the book--not the chocolate )

It's been a fun Spam-and-chocolate-filled night,
My condolences to your taste buds.

I surely hope that someone hasn't already created a recipe using the two ingredients together.

CHOCOLATE HAS CALORIES???

No wonder I feel like a stuffed pig when I eat too much of it!

Not to mention if I eat too much of the sugar free chocolate candy...

Gets kinda gross, if you know what I mean. (laxative effect)
