As an unrepentant, non-recovering, lifelong cookieholic, I am now compelled to polish off the last of those "Great Value", 88 cents per pack iced oatmeal cookies we got from Walmart (no surrounding hearts) a couple of days ago.

Thanks for reminding me about them guys.

Kerr, I have a question for you, as this IS the thread to ask you questions. When me and the Mrs. were down there, we went to Dollywood. At Dollywood, they had a tree called the Tennessee water tree that ca produce "the prodigious amount of 100,000 gallons of water a day". Is this tree for real? I can't find anything about it on the Internet.

I've seen the tree. I think that all the water from the water rides drains through it.

I's a thinking something was fishy about that. Thanks.

One more Grandkid story and I'll shut up.

Why? What if I want more Grandkid stories? You've only got 3 days worth, let's have 'em!

quote:

No. 1 grandson, age 9, has determined on his own that he wants to read the Bible cover to cover. He plans to read one page every night.

The thing is that he loves the story of Jesus walking on water, so he has been re-reading that page every night.

That is SO precious! It's going to take him longer than he thought, but that's okay.

All our cats are lottery winners.

We only see the grandkids an average of once a year. Since neither of us like to fly, we didn't see them in Germany, but Mrs. K did go to CA once. We are hoping he can move to a base nearer, most likely Keisler AFB in Miss., which is easy for us to visit.

Please, tell us some more Grandkid stories. We all love to talk about our children/grandkids while hearing about what other people's children/grandkids do. It sound like you grandkids are being raised by a good Father & he is doing a great job.

I think my boss is an anonymous cookie eater. He tries to hide the fact that he eats stuff like that from me and Dr. J.

And speaking of grandbabies, I think sweet granddaughter wants to type you a message:
;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;.
nhjgnnm g

She's 18 months old and beautiful and brilliant (of course). I just visited my 19 month old grandson and he is equally as brilliant, only very handsome instead of beautiful. And he's a fabulous speller, though I think he spells in "toddler speak"----everything is spelled "E-O-E-O-A". I should teach him to sing Old McDonald, you think?

I have a sound machine and it was one of my favorite possessions when I lived in apartments.

I don't need a sound machine...I have several built in...one is 4 and one is 44 then there is the 10 year old...not to mention the 3 month old cocker spaniel puppy... 3 tvs...video games...to top it off the 44 year old loves to sleep with his radio blaring talk radio programs...then they wonder why I LOVE my Ipod!!!

The purpose of a "sound machine" is to drown out the 4 yo and the 44 yo and the 10 yo and the radio and the puppy...........

Yeah . . . I'm always on the rebound.

You are indeed very wise to already have known my above reply.
(Either that, or I have, alas, become sadly predictable).

Actually, I haven't been on the rebounder lately, as it seems to now be the house for two antique lamp shades . . . it was the only "safe place" I could find to put them. I'm trying to rectify that . . . I miss my trampoline.

Hey Terri!

Good to see you again.

BTW, yesterday (I think it was yesterday), I was thinking about you . . . and then later found out that you had made your "first" posts around the very time-frame that I had been thinking about you.
