You have tremendous self-control! I don't think I've ever, ever, ever bought just one book at a time. There is no way I could make a decision like that, even knowing I was going to order from Amazon. "Which ONE book out of ALL OF THESE am I going to buy?" It would mess my brain up so bad they'd have to take me away in an "I love me" jacket.

I am the same way. I normally read a non- fiction and a fiction at the same time.

Me too. THat's why I read the Southern Gospel folder (non-fiction) and the M & E folder (fiction) at the same time.
LOL!!!

Well, my hibachi thread has given me the craving, and Thursday night I plan to go and have food chopped up and thrown at me.

I will stick out my tongue at the Bhudda as I walk by

Oh Wise Counselor Kerrlaw,

DID YOU KNOW that finding a water fountain that produces a quality water sound while at the same time being generally affordable is a difficult task?

Went to store, bought one that was affordable, brought it home, put it together...put lots of water in...NO WATER SOUND.

Went to different store, found one that is NOT affordable but makes LOTS of water sound...put in memory to beg Mr. Cranky for when he returns from fishing trip.

Went to different store, bought one that was affordable, brought it home, put it together...put lots of water in...pretty good water sound, but still dreaming about the NOT affordable one.

Girl and I have been busy today.

I had to back up to say, Cranky, I share your pain. I have found this to be absolutely true. Affordable=no water sound and water sound=too 'spensive. I've looked and looked.

Lynn, anyone can make a nomination for "Quote of the Week" (and a moderator won't nominate someone unless they're doing so as a poster and not as a moderator).

To nominate someone for "Quote of the Week", send an email to Fritz at community@salemwebnetwork.com.

At the moment, I cannot find the instructions on how to register for the free e-newsletter, "Room and Board" . . . which is where the winners for "Quote of the Week" are revealed.

Oh . . .

In the email to Fritz, include the quote that you want to nominate and the link to the specific post.

I always include the title of the thread and what folder it is in, as well.

But I am currently reading the AD Chronicles and I know what book is next. Once I finish that series, then I will go crazy thinking about other books. I also want to re-read The Scarlet Thread by Francine Rivers. I was thinking about it as I fell asleep -- I took a nap!

Just dropping into tell you, in case you don't know, that it is tiring trying to keep up with two boys, ages 8 and 6.

Yesterday we did DollyWorld- all day. They were constantly in motion from 9:00 a.m. to we arrived home at about 9:30 p.m.. Still being hyped up and awake, they played with the Wii until 11:30.

Unfortunately, I had a trial scheduled today and did not go to Splash Country. , but Mrs. K tells me that all are having a good time.

I will have to have a nap just to get rested enough to go to bed tonight.

I had no idea what a huge problem this was.

Not to mention I have no idea what you are talking about.

Do y'all mean decorative fountains, drinking fountains, or maybe water bottles that you get drinking water from.

If it's decorative, perhaps you should buy a CD of a babbling brook and listen to it while looking at your fountain.

Thank you for your concern and for troubling to even come up with any kind of solution, Master Kerr. It means a lot to me and I know Cranky will be brought to tears by your thoughtfulness.
