Have a great trip!

Maybe you can post some pictures in a photo album when you come back.

Well, we're back! We had an absolutely amazing time! Thank you all so much for all your tips! Many were very useful! We were able to do a ton of stuff and are now incredibly exhausted! I'm in the process of going through all my pics (800) and my daughters - 3gigs worth! I'm sure it will take me all day!

This is what we did:
Saturday - travel. Got to the hotel, dropped our bags, then went "out on the town". It was beautiful! We ate at some deli and had some great sandwiches!
Sunday - Times Square Church - not much of a wait and the service was fabulous! Rode the subways around and got a weeks pass of unlimited rides. Went to Century 21 and walked around ground zero. We toured the church across the street - I forget the name - St. Peter's? That was great. Went to China Town and Little Italy. Ate dinner at a great Italian place. Took my first cab ride back to the hotel.
Monday - Ellis Island, Statue of Liberty - I agree with what someone said - it was anticlimactic. I did find my great grandfathers name on the wall at Ellis Island, though. That was neat. After dropping our souveniers off at the hotel, we went out on the town again. We found M&M World and was in there for over an hour! 3 stories of M&M stuff! My daughter thought she died and went to heaven! (Her camp name is M&M). For dinner, we ate at the Stardust diner. What a great treat! It was very pricey, the service left a lot to be desired, but it was so fun!
Tuesday - took the subway to Coney Island. Very fun! Ate at Nathans - I must say, this really was the best hot dog I've ever eaten! We walked on the boardwalk, played some arcade games and rode some rides. Dh and dd and a friend rode the Cyclone and had a blast! (DH had to take a pain pill afterwards, though!). We dipped our feet in the Atlantic Ocean for the first time. We loved that sea breeze! After that, we went to South Street Seaport and walked around there. We had an okay dinner at one of the restaurants on the waterfront. People watching was pretty fun. We walked by Wall Street, but my group didn't want to go and find the stock exchange building. We did pass Cipriani's and that was interesting. Lot's of limos, red carpet and well dressed people. We didn't see anyone we knew.
Wednesday - we got a late start since we were so exhausted! Dh had to get some things ready for the conference in the morning and dd and I slept in a bit. We met up with some missionary friends from Ukraine and went to H&M, then the Empire State Building. That was breathtaking! I loved the skyline views! We ate at the Bread Factory and had some great sandwiches. That evening was the first night of the conference, so we went to that. Afterwards, we went to Macy's to look around. Whoever said that Macy's were all the same was wrong! This thing was 10 stories high! It had so many neat things in it!
Thursday - dd and I went to Penn Station, Grand Central Station, and walked down 5th Avenue. We went into lot's of the hoity-toity stores and had a great time! Trump Tower was beautiful! We went into a couple more churches - St. Patricks and St. Timothy's I think. They were more beautiful that I could ever describe! We went on an NBC Studio tour and had fun seeing how some shows were made. After that, we went to the evening conference session.
Friday - a few friends and I woke up very early and went to see the Today show being taped at Rockefeller center. Cold Play had a concert, so we didn't get to see anything at all. I got a few pictures to prove I was there, but we opted to just go to breakfast instead. Afterwards, we went to M&M world again, and Bryant Park. We had to cut this day short as we needed to get to Brooklyn Tabernacle by 5:30 for the final conference session. The Tabernacle was beautiful and it was great to see everything!
Saturday, we took a bus tour of the city. We saw tons of things and got a great background story. We kinda followed a story of how Teen Challenge was started and we ended up at Brooklyn Teen Challenge (where it all started). That was pretty neat. Don Wilkerson was there and spoke to us. On the way back, we saw the new exhibit, "The Waterfalls". Interesting. Kinda stupid. That night, we went to see Wicked. Definitely a highlight. It was wonderful. Afterwards, we went to Juniors for dinner and cheesecake. It was delicious!
Sunday - Church at Times Square Church, then off to Central Park. We got totally caught in a thunder and lightening storm! It was scary, but fun. We didn't get to go through the park as much as we'd wanted - we were soaking wet. But by the time we got to the subway, we were kinda dried off. We decided to go and see the Chrystler Building and the United Nations building. Those were awesome. We ate a steak dinner at Tad's (not great) and walked the town one more time.
Monday - our shuttle came at 3:30 am to take us back to the airport.

We didn't get to do everything we'd wanted, but we did do a lot! Again, thanks for all the tips!
