We all have little things about us that we know would drive our future spouses nuts. I know I do. I thought it would be fun to share our quirks. It may help us get to know each other a little better as well.

This is all meant to be good, lighthearted fun. Please be kind.

Okay, here is one of my Quirks.

If I walk into a resturant and there is a "odor" that is not appealing I can not eat there.
Sometimes the smell has been of a very strong cleaner, or a too fishy smell or even the smell of something going bad. Even an underlying smell that is not strong at all can do this to me. I just cannot convince myself to eat there. Even if it is usually one of my favorite resturants.

Okay, ya'll can say it....I'm weird.

I suppose my quirk (though it's normal to me) is that I dislike sea food and in beverages I dislike tea and coffee.

I'm not quirky at all. I'm perfectly normal in every way. (Its the rest of the world that's quirky)

How much time do you spend on here? Enough, I think that most of us could come up with at least 2 of your Quirks. Me, I could come up with at least 5. I'm very observant.

Much of the time you spell "the" wrong. I know you can spell "the" it's just that your thinking fast or something and it just comes out that way.

That's not a quirk. That's just incompetent typing!

Try again

Define Quirk or this will not work at all..... I think it is a quirk.

"a peculiarity of action, behavior, or personality; mannerism:"

So a typo wouldn't really be a quirk. Unless I intended to spell it that way.

So try again. (Really I want to see what parts of my personality people thing of as quirky)

I listen to bagpipes. Think that'll drive a spouse nutz? It has that effect on my kids.

If you've seen When Harry Met Sally, do you remember the scene where she orders something at a restaurant? I'm not quite that bad. I just want what I want the way I want it.

I love the bagpipes.
I played a 6 minute rendition of Amazing Grace as a memorium for my Hubby on Christmas. It turns out not everyone enjoys it as much as I do. I think I actually heard someone use the word torture later in the day.LOL

I not only like bagpipes, I like crumhorns and rebecs. And I love 16th century music played by a rock band.

I'm going to have to think on this one - I know that I do - but I'm wondering if they are really quirks, or just preferences of mine.

Now, if it's different things that I like that are not the norm, then DCI ranks right up there for me.

For the sake of the thread we will add that to the definition.

Okay, now I can really participate.

I will listen to the radio broadcast of a race via computer, while having the race on the TV, while also having a video running on the computer of a soccer game I want to watch.

And, I'll be IMing at the same time.

Great minds and all the Lisa. I have two TV's in my study, that I can watch and listen to music, do work on the net, and have a load of clothes in the washer.

I'm supposedly very quirky according to past ex boyfriends. And they always meant it as a good thing. I can't think of any of my quirks. It used to be that I could never leave home in the morning without making my bed. But I've gotten over that.

What else? Oh, I'm one of those annoying customer in the restaurant that when I order, everything has to be on the side but I can challenge any man to an eating contest! I also count the mileage in my running shoes, lol. And I would cross the US border just to watch a movie. It's not that bad though. It's only 2.5 hours drive.

I have a few more quirky habits. I'll ask my daughter.

LOLOLOL - oh, you have NO idea. Just ask John about last year when we'd catch even the tiniest hint of a flirt. Sharon was the flirt police. She had her "spies".
