Umm...I realized while cleaning today that I have Singleton's journal. It's all his fault, though, for not packing it before heading to Lisa's.

What should I do?

That's a great idea. Are you up for a mini TX GT? I hear there's a really neat French cafe in Esther's neck of the woods. :)

You'd all be very welcome! For now, though, I'm headed off to dissect a certain song and record it in bits and pieces so I can sing it correctly on Friday.

He sat in the mail room at my work - for almost 2 weeks! The lady there (new employee) didn't know who he came from and she had a question about what she needed to do since it was personal and not work mail (even though I had a note attached).

Anyway, I've got him all nice and packed in the box again (just had to make sure he was okay) and he's going out in UPS today.

Shema - sounds like a plan. I wondered when I got him, but forgot to ask.......

Cool! What's the song?

It's a twentieth century piece by Dominick Argento, part of a song-cycle composed with text from Mrs. Manners. It was commissioned by Mrs. Manner's husband for her birthday. It's hysterical, but like most twentieth century music the meter changes frequently and the "melody" has little or nothing to do with the accompaniment, so it takes some work to get it coordinated with the collaborative pianist.

And now I'm off to drink my morning coffee and work on a Form and Analysis project.

YOU! I was freaking out!

Needless to say, unless it's a basic envelope, I'm not sending out anything else through my work's mailroom.

I believe it!

I was a little worried, because I just came up with the perfect place to take Singleton.

Singleton arrived here to day!

We open his box

He was glad to be here, but was tired, and when he found out that GP1 had just arrived also, freshly engaged and with lots to tell, he politely requested permission to go ahead and get to bed so he'd be ready for fun tomorrow. He was delighted when he saw the little bed that GP4 had made for him and

snuggled right in!

Goodnight, Singleton...we'll show you around tomorrow!

As I mentioned, Singleton had a little snooze

in the hammock

on my deck. Then, it was off to work: He joined me at the art school and visited my teaching studio. First he had a conversation with

Mr. Rigoletto

Then I gave him a few tips

on the keyboard

Gotta run. Singleton is hungry!

Today we took Singleton to the Overlook at King's Mountain...

He enjoyed the sensation of

Hanging over the edge of the cliff.

The view was so beautiful that we took more pictures from different perspectives

Looking at Packsaddle Mountain

Upriver

A geologist's dream

What NOT to do...

Tomorrow Singleton is considering going to school with me...good ol' Howard Payne University. But then, I have to get up pretty early, and he REALLY likes the little bed GP4 made for him. It might have to go along with him to the next place.
