I agree... you are always encouraging...

Thankyou.

Sorry you had such a tough day. I'm glad you had 2 of your boys to help you with the groceries.

Thanks, Trish.

I didn't sleep well last night but when I got up for the washroom, I knew I wouldn't be able to go back to sleep. I brought all I will need to hide away in my bedroom for as much of the art show time as necessary. The first guests arrived ten minute early. The boys are all up, dressed and helping dh get things ready. Last night dh and ds1 did some major moving of furniture to create more space. Ds1 is launching his first musical CD this weekend as well. My bedroom has been crammed full with our dining chairs and two rocking chairs. It's really quite crazy but downstairs looks very nice. Dh did a good job of cleaning. They're all in good moods, even dh, so that's good. He doesn't seem to mind that I have escaped, which I appreciate.

That's a good thing.

I escape when people are coming over too as much as possible. I don't even feel comfortable with friends coming over. I just hide.

Thanks, Roberta, but I can do my own prying. Quite good at it in fact. But thanks for praying.

Thanks for understanding the hiding, Ray and Trish!

I don't hide from people when they're in my house, but I do tend to ignore the door and the phone when I don't want to speak with anyone!

Oh, I do that too, though because of our large windows, it's harder to not answer the door and have people really believe I'm not there.

Good Evening Peoples!

Those are some awesome things you're working on, Mike! That's great! It does take a lot of energy, though, doesn't it? I hope that you're feeling better in the morning.

Hi Maggie, I found out that my father is in the hospital, but I was only contacted by my cousin about this and nobody else at all. I am a bit dismayed by this.

I know how you feel Mike. I'm having a real problem getting back to church as well. Although I heard something today about my old church that makes me wonder what the Lord is trying to tell me. Praying that the Lord will lead you through and give you strength for the journey.

Hi Edith, finding the right church is tough. Part of the problem is that there are no perfect churches. The best thing to do is to pray to the Lord and look up churches in your area and then figure out if God wants you to go back to your old church or try out a new body instead.

I'm glad I did that because after spending a bit of time with my son, he called me in to join them and spoke about diagnoses and other things. He listed several different possible diagnoses but said that his symptoms don't really fit any of them. His sleeplessness is in part due to his medications so those are being adjusted. I told the doctor about ds3's blogs and the darkness of some of his posts and he wrote down the url. He wanted to know if he is always coherent when he writes and, yes, he is. If I have any concerns, I am welcome to leave a message on his answering machine.

Yeah, I have had that problem also when I do not take my medications. Hoping that ds3 gets out of his depression real soon!

quote:

Ds3 told me on the ride home that his doctor has advised him to become sexually active; that his symptoms may be, in part, due to repressed sexual needs. I can see why some Christians are leary of psychiatrists. If you're not strong and determined in something (like sexual purity), it would be so easy to believe what one is told and act on it.

I'm thinking that he slept last night. I'm not sure though because I haven't seen him yet this morning. That means he's either sleeping or he went to class. Either is desirable. I'll find out in time.

Oh my Maggie!

quote:

ORIGINAL: magdaleine

He didn't say anything about what the doctor said, except to tell me what the doctor said. But he is committed to sexual purity so he didn't need to say anything more. He probably wanted to see how I'd react.

Thats good then!

That's awesome about your brothers, Trish!

Ten percent of those who get the vaccination get sick for a day or two. I'm one of the ten percent. I've been in bed all day. I got up for an hour this morning but that is all I could handle. I've been up now for about 45 minutes and I'm not sure how long I can be up before I go back to bed. I haven't eaten or drunk anything except for a few sips of water all day.

Oh my, I hope you feel better real soon Maggie!

Last night and a bit this morning while I was up, I was looking at what I want my new phone to be. I fried my cell phone with a couple drops of water on the keypad. I've been wanting to get a new palmtop/handheld/pda for nearly a year so this is it. I'd get an ordinary phone and an ordinary pda that isn't a phone but it's almost impossible to find such a pda anymore. I like the graffiti feature that Palm uses and I really don't like the idea of the tiny keyboard that Blackberries use (don't want to get "Blackberry Thumb") so I've narrowed it down to the HTL Touch Diamond if I stay with my current provider or HTL Touch Pro if I change to Telus. Ds1 says I can play the two companies against each other to negotiate a better deal but for what I'm looking at, my current provider is way better than Telus in terms of cost and what you get for it. Ds1 seems to think differently, so tomorrow he will look at the info I've gathered.

I fried a cell phone of mine a few years ago when I talked to someone outside in the rain for 2 hours.

This weekend, dh is having an art show and ds1 is debuting his first music CD. The event is in our home. I have some big messes in the living room and dining room that I need to get rid of but I'm too sick. And dh is expecting me to shop tomorrow for the food we will be serving. It's too much.

Cool Maggie!

Don't worry too much Mike... my mother has been in hospital a couple of times over the past year or so and I've generally heard about them from my father ~ and my parents divorced 20-odd years ago.

Last time my mother was in hospital, I spoke with her and she told me that she'd phone when she came out. I spoke with my sister just over a week later and she said our mother was out ~ and had been out for several days. A few days later, I phoned my mother to find out how she was. She made the comment 'Oh, I was meant to phone you wasn't I? I phoned your sister and your father and uncle, but I didn't think about you!'

And she wonders why I get upset with her!

Oh my, Mike! That's awful! Even your half-sister didn't let you know? Is he going to be okay?

Thanks, Mike. I think I'm doing better but I'm not sure because my sleep has been all messed up.

Oh, he was taking his medications. It was the medication that was keeping him from sleeping. He seems to be much better today, though, so I'm very glad. Relieved.

Ouch! I'll keep that in mind and try to avoid that scenario. Fortunately, my cell phone contract expired several months ago so I don't have to worry about paying a contract that I can't get out of or paying to get a new phone. I'm looking at either the HTL Touch Diamond or HTL Touch Pro. I don't really care which. They are probably both more than what I need (I'm combining palmtop with phone). Ds1 wants me to negotiate and pit two companies against each other to get the best plan and package. I know who I want and I'm happy with their plan so I don't know why I can't just say that.

quote:

I phoned your sister and your father and uncle, but I didn't think about you!'
Relationships 101: How to make someone feel loved. :( Your mom and my dh need to take that course.

There was a guest at the art show that stayed EIGHT HOURS! He didn't leave till an hour after the show was supposedly over. I didn't come down until he left. The day was okay for me though. I slept much of the afternoon. I was really tired. My eyes are watering already again and I haven't been up yet for 4 1/2 hours.

So is laughTer.

Unless it's John or Joan, I don't answer the phone. (I can hear when the answering machine is on). If I can get away with not answering the door, I'll do that too.

We all do it, Maggie. I usually pick up people's spelling mistakes, other than my own.

Nope, even my half sisters didn't let me know. I did find out today that he is now home from the hospital now fortunately.

Thanks Roberta! At least I made it to church today, which usually helps. The sermon was on forgiveness.
