LOL! I feel like I already have mom of many traits.... What is it? Like the third child when you pick the pacifier off the floor, suck it off, and put it back in the baby's mouth?

I was like that from the first too. Which was good, because he had lots of medical issues and I would have been a mess if I had been a typical first time mom. Little things have never bothered me much.

You're better than me, Donna - my first thought was nits! (sorry Kat! I just remember that only too well!)

Doesn't sound like nits to me. Thank God, we haven't dealt with those at all so far. The more I think about it...the more I think maybe my first thought was right...could it have been food? Mashed potatoes? Oatmeal? Or even playdough? If there isn't any more, I'd not worry about it. And if you see more later on, maybe it is the eczema?

It's the craziest thing! I guess I should just count my blessings that he isn't adding something else to his allergy issues at the moment! --Kat

Maybe he had a couple bug bites that oozed, scabbed over, and that was the scab coming off?

different! Some days good, some days not so good. She gets cranky in afternoons and that's a whole lot of not fun.

We are home. Can I just say, I *adore* The Children's Hospital. We are so blessed to have access to them through our insurance. Anyway, they ended up giving Gabby some Zofran and pedialyte, she was much more perky after that and seems to be doing better. The nurse and NP were just wonderful, both have children and were very sympathetic. So we are just doing the usual stomach bug drill now, and probably for the next couple days. Thanks ya'll for praying! We could certainly tell that we were covered in prayer, almost as soon as I posted she stopped vomiting every 15 minutes and has only thrown up 2x since then. God is good!

ORIGINAL: KatMack Oh Great and Wise CW Moms! I must call on your advice and help! The other day I noticed that Luke (2 years old) had horrible, nasty looking crusties in his hair at the top of his head. I found a couple still attached to his scalp. I picked them off, brushed his hair well and gave him a bath. Nothing since then, but it's got me wondering. He does have allergy-related eczema. Could this have just been very delayed cradle cap? Psoriasis? Eczema on his scalp? What's got me perplexed is that I haven't seen anything since. His scalp looks totally healthy and normal. --Kat I'm not a mom, but I have a similar condition. I thought it was just dandruff that didn't flake off, but my hairdresser told me it was soriisis (sorry, I know, butchered spelling) of the scalp. She said I needed to go see an MD, and get a prescription for it. I haven't bothered to do that, but I need to.

Praying for a speedy recovery for Gabby Ryanne! Kat it wouldn't have been nits, nits are either tiny black or white things, not crusty or flaky like you mentioned. I have dealt with nits PLENTY of times! My little sister would get them every week, there was a family who wouldn't treat their kids. And I had a bunch of Aboriginal kids in my class who would get it every month, I became the "nit spotter" and all the teachers would send their kids in to me to check them. I have had them a few times too, its so horrible.
