Well, since my first two favorites aren't on the list..... I went with my 3rd favorite. The Booth Brothers.

Many great choices here. I voted Greater Vision. Is it possible that there are more outstanding trios than outstanding male quartets?

Greater Vision got my vote! I think that "Means Just What it Says" is the title of the song, should be played in every church in America! The Bible seems to be some sort of mystery these days even in churches, and Rodney put it very plain and simple for all the liberal scholars! So just on that song alone they get my vote. :)

ORIGINAL: danielmount I was going to comment, but don't want to contradict GVfan. So I will hold my peace. What a gentleman you are!!! I really was just teasing when I said YES! Trios are my faves, but I fully understand that I'm in the minority!! ...but out of curiosity, how many trios do you really, really like? Well, let's see. First, there's Greater Vision. And then there's Greater Vision. Seriously, I do enjoy a lot of the trios, especially the Booth Brothers, Mark Trammell Trio, Karen Peck & New River, The Whisnants to name a few. I wonder if the "Jason change" will make any difference in the voting this year for Trio of the Year? Do you think people will want to see who the new tenor is before they cast their vote???????

I think that it takes a very long time for the entire fan base to hear about something like this. I can't remember who the artist or group was, but I remember that someone at a recent concert I was at didn't know about a change that had occurred a year ago. And Jason won't be gone until September-ish, so I don't think it's going to affect the voting. Of course, that's just my opinion.

Jonathan Wilburn is in the top (10) for Lead Singer and he is no longer with Gold City. Of course, because of that I don't think he will make the final five.

I liked the Poet Voices when they had Mark Lanier, but now they seem to be moving in a different direction. I'd love to hear them with Mitchel Jon now.
