What about Phillip and Kennedy? Joba is cocky? Really? He's struck me as a good ol' farm boy, more bouncy like a little boy then arrogant. Cano was a farm system product, too, and he's doing well. I agree that for years the Yanks were not developing a good farm system, but that has really turned around since Brian Cashman took a firmer hand in running things.

I'm not to concerned "the look" a player has on his face, but they've got to be cocky even to make it into the major leagues. A timid player will never make it past AA. Joba must believe he will get every single batter he faces out - and most of the time - he's right! What concerns me more is how he treats people around him, the press, the fans and his fellow players. As far as I know he's been polite and kind. Until he shows otherwise, I'll regard him as a good kid.

cubs even have a team anymore???? actually, would love to see the cubs win one since the red sox and pale sox have won one. rather see the old teams with some new rings.

Those lucky Mets! Thank you, thank you very much. Of course it's gonna cost a year's salary to go to a game now. Good thing every game gets broadcast.

Hmmm...I know the Astros don't have a decent pitching rotation behind Roy... but I am still rooting for them! It's my home team and my favorite team! They have surprise people in the past! Maybe they can do it again! Hopefully our starting pitchers will step up! We definately have a good batting line up this year which we needed.
