Going After the Green
After he lost the Presidency in 2000, however, Gore began to take a very prominent role in championing his genocidal environmental program. After all its investment in him, the international genocide lobby decided to bring him into the millionaire/billionaire club, where he could profit royally from his love of the green. Like Strong and other corrupt green moguls, Gore was given the opportunity to become even richer, through scams ranging from the Ponzi scheme called carbon swaps, to “green” industries.
In this period, Gore prepared his fraudulent film and accompanying book,        “The Inconvenient Truth: The Planetary Emergency of Global Warming and What We Can Do About It,”    released in 2006. In October of that year, he got his appointment from Gordon Brown, as “Special Advisor to the Government on Climate Change.” Then came the Nobel Prize, itself a ticket for a $750,000 chunk of change.
Then, in December 2006, Prince Charles, according to the Telegraph, invited Gore to a private meeting at his Highgrove country home, in order to strategize about their shared passion for the environment. The specific subject was preparations for an event which the Prince was soon to sponsor at his St. James Palace, to launch an Accounting for Sustainability project.
This project was intended to encourage big business to become more “green,” according to press reports.
Gore could not attend the event in person, but addressed the nearly 200 politicians, businessmen, and others by video, showing them his slideshow, “An Inconvenient Truth.”
Then, during January 2007, the Prince of Wales and his wife toured the United States. On Jan. 28, the Harvard Medical School’s Center for Health and the Global Environment presented the 10th Annual Global Environmental Citizen’s Award to Prince Charles, at the Harvard Club in New York City. Gore, according to press reports, “praised the Prince of Wales’s knowledge and passion, [and] said he and the prince have had conversations about global environment for 20years.”
Conversations are one thing, but the fact is, that the Prince and the swamp creature have done more than talk. They have shaped the political environment, in a concerted attempt to destroy the legacy of Franklin Roosevelt, a legacy which the United States and world so crucially need today. They have forced through actions which now bring the human race into a crisis which threatens everyone’s future. We can let the British take care of their monarchy—but Americans have a responsibility for that fat hypocrite Al Gore. Ridicule this British agent until he’s out of the limelight!

Ziegler says the food situation is critical (Keystone)
UN rapporteur calls for biofuel moratorium
The United Nations special rapporteur on the right to food has urged donors to increase humanitarian aid or see more people dying of starvation in the coming months.
Jean Ziegler made the appeal as 27 key UN agencies met in the Swiss capital, Bern, on Monday to come up with solutions to ease the escalating global food crisis.
Ziegler referred to the situations in the Palestinian territories and Darfur, Sudan, where the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) and the World Food Programme (WFP) urgently need additional funds to offset higher food prices.
"It's absolutely critical. These people have no other alternative but international aid. If this is reduced or cut, they will die," the Swiss told journalists in Geneva.
He described the UN meeting in Bern as an "essential day for people suffering from hunger in the world".
Ziegler, who officially ends his special rapporteur mandate on Wednesday, said the poor were facing a new tragedy, hit by the extreme violence of rising food prices.
"The food riots that have affected 37 countries will worsen. The number of people affected by malnutrition will increase in the next five to six years," said the 77-year-old sociologist.
The World Bank estimates food prices have risen by an average of 83 per cent in the past three years, and warns that food inflation could push at least 100 million people into poverty.
A range of factors has been blamed on the food crisis, including poor harvests, partly due to climate change, rising oil prices, steep growth in demand from China and India, and the dash to produce biofuels for motoring at the expense of food crops.
Primary causes
Ziegler blamed the crisis principally on biofuels and repeated his call for an immediate international five-year ban on biofuel production.
"Biofuels are a crime against a large part of humanity," he declared.
The Swiss rights advisor criticised the fact that a third of United States corn was grown to produce bioethanol and hit out at the European Union decision to produce ten per cent of its energy from biofuels by 2020.
Christophe Golay, a researcher at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, agreed that the impact of biofuels could not be ignored.
"Today five per cent of cereals grown worldwide are used to produce biofuels, which obviously has an impact on prices. It's the first cause of price rises for certain cereals, but not all," he told swissinfo.
Ziegler also pointed the finger at commodity speculation, claiming it was responsible for 30 per cent of the price rises, in particular hedge fund investors, who have "shifted to agricultural raw materials where yields are enormous".
But Burkhard Varnholdt, chief investment officer at Bank Sarasin, dismissed this argument.
"Security"
"Most investors I know are deeply against investing in commodities," he told swissinfo. "What really happened after the subprime crisis was that risk aversion rose around the world. When this happens you don't invest in commodities. The natural thing is to search for security in government bonds or cash – and that's what happened."
In his address, Ziegler also took a swipe at the "absurd" policies of the International Monetary Fund, which he said forced the poorest countries to cut back on staple crops and focus on cash crops for export to help pay their debts.
For Golay, the root causes of the current food crisis are clearly structural.
"There are four main causes that everyone is talking about: biofuels, increased demand in China and India, higher oil prices and global warming. But the real cause is that for decades there has not been proper investment for years in local agriculture in developing countries."
"These countries are dependent on food imports – for up to 40 per cent of their food – so when the prices rise on global markets they can't offset them with local agriculture."
Results of the Bern deliberations are expected on Tuesday when Ban Ki-moon gives a news conference flanked by the heads of the main UN agencies and the World Bank.

I rarely watch TV... but I found myself on a long business trip with 12 and 13 hr days and at the end of the day I wanted to chill... so I turned on the History Channel.
Guess what the History Channel puts forth as the most likely cause of the demise of the human race, over space collision, nuclear war, and plague??? - Global Warming... which is now called Climate Change.

We've watched the destruction of the Amazon rain forest. This rain forest controls our climate! We just had the coolest April in 114 years. Today, May 17, it's about 60 degrees outside. Very cool for this time of year. Don't see much global warming in Mississippi. I really feel that the deforestation of the rain forests is the main cause of our problems. Plus, cows put off more gas emissions that anything else on earth! Read that in the Farmer's Almanac.

How ironic that much of the rainforest in Brazil is now being cleared to increase the acreage of biofuel crops, such as corn and soy. According to recent reports:
"Soybean cultivation in the Amazon has expanded rapidly in recent years due to improved infrastructure in the region and rising demand for biofuels (soy can be used for biodiesel). Since 1990 the area of land planted with soybeans in Amazonian states has expanded at the rate of 14.1 percent per year (16.8 percent annually since 2000) and now covers more than eight million hectares. Soy is fast becoming a major driver of deforestation in the region, by pushing small-holder farmers into forest areas and providing impetus for infrastructure improvement projects--like the paving of Brazil’s Cuiabá-Santarém (BR-163) Highway--that spawn further forest clearing."

I say this is ironic because the main reason given to us for the use of "biofuels" has the supposed reduction of greenhouse gases from carbon based fuels. Yet the very production of biofuels require large areas of farmland be diverted to biofuel crops which must still be fertilized, harvested, and processed into ethanol, all of which takes an enormous amount of energy.
So the forests which would normally trap green house gases are cut down to produce crops which actually increase the amount of greenhouse gases in order to be rendered into usable biofuel. It is estimated that it actually takes more than one gallon of oil to produce one gallon of ethanol which burns at a less efficient rate (MPG) and requires special tankers to transport and special tanks to store, all at the same time diverting cropland that would normally be used for food production. So we get to pollute the environment and starve the poor all at the same time. Way to go Al Gore! I say this because Al Gore was one of the primary proponents of the ethanol mandate pushed through Congress during the Clinton administration, and he actually cast the tie breaking vote.
And in the meantime, the earth is getting colder even while the level of CO2 continues to rise in the atmosphere. Go figure!

im new to this site, but, i have to say it sure makes me feel better knowing that there are others who feel the same about al gore, and ive been watching what the dems in senate have been doing with our money and trying to do! they are on a big time control spending spree! they wont stop until they have full control. that is why they are saying noway will you people be able to drill, for coal , shale, off our shores, they want us to continue funding the middle east! and now they have come up with this windfall profit tax scam to get more money from us! that tax would be on our oil companies in this country they cant tax the middle east or others who clearly hate us! american solutions .com , also mike fence is trying to get a petition for the broadcasting act, go to hannity.com for more info, no dem has signed the petition, if the fairness doctrine stays in place the new pres would have the power to choose what tv shows or radio shows , not to mention im sure these sites would get shut down too, they dont want us talking! write call your congress, dems need to sign the petition before july4th, or we will loose our freedom of speech! which is what some of the ones you have talked about on here want, thanks, hugs

Here is my rebuttal.
There is no significant man made global warming. There has not been any in the past, there is none now and there is no reason to fear any in the future. The climate of Earth is changing. It has always changed. But mankind’s activities have not overwhelmed or significantly modified the natural forces.
Through all history, Earth has shifted between two basic climate regimes: ice ages and what paleoclimatologists call “Interglacial periods”. For the past 10 thousand years the Earth has been in an interglacial period.

I think this type of response from the global warming crowd points out what many have said about their devotion to the cause.....this is their religion. People are created with an inner need to worship or believe in something higher than themselves. When we choose not to make that the Creator, we turn to creation or the created.
The passion that these people display is admirable but misplaced. I wonder what would happen if the Body of Christ were to show the same fervor? Might it turn some people's attention from creation back to the Creator?

Welcome to the site. You raise a number of pertinent issues in your post, not the least of which is the democrats' desire for control, and not just of the Legislative, Judicial, or the Executive branches of the government, but control over every facet of our lives. This has not been the heritage of the Democratic party, but it is certainly what the party has morphed into. The once proud party of FDR and JFK is now controlled by a marxist/socialist core group which receives its funding and marching orders from George Soros, et al., the same group which funds and promotes Al Gore and the abominable "Green" coalition.
These are European socialists bent on reducing the US to a third world economy while enriching themselves and setting themselves up as rulers of the "New World Order". And no, they don't want us talking amongst ourselves, so they will seek whatever power is necessary to shut us down.
Just remember, no matter how successful they may appear to be, it will only be for a short time, for their days are numbered, and their time grows short, and the day of their destruction will come upon them unawares.

It is precisely for this reason that Al Gore and the environmentalists target the youth (see "live earth, current tv, etc) and especially our colleges and universities which have become bastions of liberal marxist ideology. It is for the very same reason that Hitler started the "Hitler Youth" movement, in order to start grooming the minds of the next generation of followers to become obedient and even zealous footsoldiers in his own version of the New World Order, the 1000 year reich (which only lasted 10 years).
The Bible describes a "falling away" in the endtimes. This "falling away" leaves a vacuum that will be filled with the worship of something, whether it be the creation, science, self, allah or even the anti-Christ, something will be worshipped other than Christ. Why is it so many are blinded to the saving grace of Jesus Christ? For those of us who know Him, there can be no other, and yet we are utterly unworthy of His love. But to willfully refuse His free gift of salvation is utter madness and suicide, and still so many choose that path. Why?!? Is it freedom they desire from submitting to the Lord Jesus and His Holy Scriptures? Yet that "freedom" is only slavery to sin and death. The only true freedom is in knowing Jesus Christ and becoming a child of God.
"Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on Him, 'If you continue in My word, then are you My disciples indeed; And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free'." John 8: 31-32
We know that Jesus speaks the truth and in Him is no lie, nor the shadow of turning, but though so many know about Him, so few actually know Him. For them Christianity is a matter of rote repetition and ritual, lacking the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and the sure knowledge of His Holy Word. It is in this climate of "churchianity" that the falling away occurs. For a description of the ethos of this church, see the letter to the church of the Laodiceans (John 3: 14- 18). But the "falling away" does occur and is already occuring, which suggests that the anti-Christ is soon to follow.
"Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sits in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God." 2Thes. 3-4
Paul goes on to discuss the restrainer being taken out of the way, at which point the falling away occurs and the wicked one is revealed.
"For the mystery of iniquity does already work: only He who now restrains will do so, until He be taken out of the way. And then shall that wicked one be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of His mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of His coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: that they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness." 2Thes. 2 8-12
So people will "fall away" from believing the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and will end up believing "a lie", maybe environmentalism, the green horse of the apocalypse?

It is precisely for this reason that Al Gore and the environmentalists target the youth (see "live earth, current tv, etc) and especially our colleges and universities which have become bastions of liberal marxist ideology. It is for the very same reason that Hitler started the "Hitler Youth" movement, in order to start grooming the minds of the next generation of followers to become obedient and even zealous footsoldiers in his own version of the New World Order, the 1000 year reich (which only lasted 10 years).
The Bible describes a "falling away" in the endtimes. This "falling away" leaves a vacuum that will be filled with the worship of something, whether it be the creation, science, self, allah or even the anti-Christ, something will be worshipped other than Christ. Why is it so many are blinded to the saving grace of Jesus Christ? For those of us who know Him, there can be no other, and yet we are utterly unworthy of His love. But to willfully refuse His free gift of salvation is utter madness and suicide, and still so many choose that path. Why?!? Is it freedom they desire from submitting to the Lord Jesus and His Holy Scriptures? Yet that "freedom" is only slavery to sin and death. The only true freedom is in knowing Jesus Christ, receiving His forgiveness, and becoming a child of God.
"Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on Him, 'If you continue in My word, then are you My disciples indeed; And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free'." John 8: 31-32
We know that Jesus speaks the truth and in Him is no lie, nor the shadow of turning, but though so many know about Him, so few actually know Him. For them Christianity is a matter of rote repetition and ritual, lacking the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and the sure knowledge of His Holy Word. It is in this climate of "churchianity" that the falling away occurs. For a description of the ethos of this church, see the letter to the church of the Laodiceans (John 3: 14- 18). But the "falling away" does occur and is already occuring, which suggests that the anti-Christ is soon to follow.
"Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sits in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God." 2Thes. 3-4
Paul goes on to discuss the restrainer being taken out of the way, at which point the falling away occurs and the wicked one is revealed.
"For the mystery of iniquity does already work: only He who now restrains will do so, until He be taken out of the way. And then shall that wicked one be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of His mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of His coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: that they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness." 2Thes. 2 8-12
So people will "fall away" from believing the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and will end up believing "a lie"; could that "lie" be environmentalism, the green (chloros) horse of the apocalypse?

Just wanted to pop in to say that I am so happy to see some others who feel the same way I do about this whole global warming issue! Pat, thanks for posting that! I've heard him talk about that before but I'm glad you put in on here. I forgot a good bit of what he had said. Isaiah29, great posts as well!

well im no environmentalists but there is a decline in Polar Bear population. They have to swim so far to find ice and food now that they are perishing.

You don't have to be an environmentalist to know that the polar bears are not in danger of perishing from lack of food or ice. In fact their population has increased from the 1970's in which there were only between 8000 and 10,000 (mostly due to hunting) and now where their population is estimated to be between 25,000 and 40,000. In other words their population has more than doubled, and possibly even quadrupled over that last 30 years. I don't need to get into how the polar bears survived many previous periods of "global warming" much warmer than now and periods in which there was far less sea ice, such as when Greenland was actually green, and not a frozen mass of glacial tundra! What you need to understand is that you have been lied to by people with a specific agenda.
There are people who want to control every aspect of your life. They want to control how much you can make and what you can spend it on; what you can drive and how far you can drive; where you can live and how large a home or apartment you can live in; the temperature you can heat or cool your home and what kind of light bulb you can use to illuminate it; what you can eat and how much, how many children you can have and how long you (or they) can live.
They will tell you that it is for the good of the planet; stop global warming!
Or for the good of humanity, there's too many people! or for the good of future generation; think of the children! for God's sake won't you please think of the children! and the children's children!! and the children's children's children!!! They are all going to die if you don't stop eating, drinking and breathing!
So people are being urged to do their part to conserve the valuable resources for future generation. But haven't you wondered why many of the people who are telling you to do so are millionaires and billionaires living in huge palatial estates, flying all over the world in private jets, and plying the oceans in luxury yachts. Yet they would compel you to live simpler and subsist on less. The point is that they want it all for themselves. The earth is their playground, not yours. And if you and the rest of the world must suffer in order for them to have it all, then so be it. You will suffer, and they won't lose a moment of sleep over it.
When Stalin collectivized Russian, many millions perished. Yet the party rulers did very well for themselves, for they garnished the wealth and resources of Russia to themselves and to their children. So it is with this latest crop of eco-communists. They wish to collectivize the world under one totalitarian rule, theirs! An believe me when I tell you, they are well on their way to doing it. They have sold their souls to a green devil in order to enjoy all the pleasures and prosperity their lies can bring. So if you are worried about the polar bears, be not afraid. The green reaper comes not for the polar bear, but for you!
