Hey.... Just wanted to let everyone know that I should have a date by next week. Just want to give all time to get through this time. Also wanted to say that I have two groups or should I say a group and a soloist who have said yes. First I have a yes from Lane and then tonight I also got a yes from Steve Warren. More details as they become available.

Well... I can't speak for Jim but I would think it would be ok. LOL As for me... I am open to any and all who are willing to help. I have calls to make next week and I am prayerful for a positive response. I spoke to my brother late last night and he said I need to call Ray next week. I was thinking about a silent auction. This way if there are SG artists who can not attend but still wish to help they could send autographed merchandise and then the profits from the auction would also go to the Hamill family. What does everyone think about that?

Amy do you have a general time frame in mind? i.e., are you planning this for during or after the CHRISTmas holidays? Blessings, Sharon-Marie

AN UPDATE...... Ernie Phillips and Land Of Sky Boys are coming!!!!! I have also set a live radio webcast so that those of you who are unable to attend will be able to at least hear the concert. I am still waiting to hear definitely but it looks as if the date is going to be January 26th. Donations for the silent auction are coming and I will post a complete list so that you all can bid even if you are unable to attend. Thanks to all who have helped thus far. Keep this benefit as well as Charlie's in your prayers.

Since I live near Pigeon Forge, I will for sure be there. Let me know if there is anything I can do. Be sure to call Praise 96.3 radio; they are great about things like this. Also, you might want to contact Tony Gore. I'm sure he would donate items for the silent auction (which I think is a great idea), but he may have other ways he and/or the restaurant can help.

Yesterday I spoke with Ray Dean and as a result I am postponing the Pigeon Forge benefit until March/April.

I was thinking this morning that perhaps I could now attend the one in Georgia as well now.

I think Amy made a great decision. To be honest, the type of event she'd planning will take a little more effort than what we're doing. We're just throwing a standard concert with a few surprises thrown in. She's talking some high-tech, stuff, with the audio broadcasts & possible video tapings, and all. Plus, maybe now, I can have more time to help her than I could previously commit to! I'm sure Jan would be happy with her decision, too, knowing that more $$$ will be coming in later.

I agree whole heartedly jchaz. I was trying to say in a humorous way that I liked the idea of a March/April concert in PF because it increased the chances I could attend both the Ga. and the PF concerts.

I was really concerned that having both events so close together would diminish the effectiveness and benefit of both.
