Hi! Is this still going on? Haven't been able to check in because of some family trouble back home. The holidays were rough, but I'm back on my own again, so things are shuffling back into place. If the RP is still happening, here's my chari-prof.
Name: Delyara
Nickname: Yari
Gender: Female
Age: 19
Species: Loren (They are of human appearance, but can grow blades from any part of their body)
Height: 5 feet, 4 inches
Weight: 117
Appearance: As noted above, of human appearance in physical form. Hair is soot black, in a short pixie cut, olive-tan skin color, her eyes are gray, she has a tiny mouth with a beauty mark just above the left corner, three diamond studs in her left ear and none in her right, she wears a matching diamond pendant hidden underneath her tank top. There is a tiny white scar that runs from her left eye to her nose. Wears skinny black pants tucked into knee-high dark brown boots, a form-fitting gray tank top under a gray silk blouse. Carries a black cloak that her mother gave her before she dies. It's a little big and makes her look even smaller when she's dwarfed in it.
Weapons: Blades of all kinds, but usually only uses up to two at a time, or mixed, e.g. one long blade, one knife, etc.
Special Skills: Can break glass with high-pitched note and effectively travel at night because of her 'sonar'. Because she is Loren, they have the ability to grow blades from any part of their body. Lengths, strengths and colors are varied, depending on how much energy the Loren has and how upset they are. Generally slow to anger, extreme bursts of temper result in sprouting blades. The blades can be broken off and used for all manners of things, but when melted down by fire, release a toxic gas. Loren blood has high healing properties, so to a degree she can somewhat heal herself, but not all the way to 100%
Weaknesses: Because of her blade-growing ability, she must eat a great deal to keep up with her high metabolisim, even if she does not grow blades for some time, she is usually snacking on something or the other. Yari is vulnerable after growing a blade, or when one is broken off of her before she can cut the 'life force' channeling into it. If she does not eat, she becomes weak and her skin turns nearly white. She is very light and can be thrown easily. Her strength comes in short bursts, so she cannot keep up a 'fight' for very long, maybe five minutes max, or eight, on a full stomach. This sometimes causes her to 'fight dirty' forgoing all matters of honor and loyalty to assure that she will be the victor in order to continue living.
Personality: Very quiet, likes to be alone, generally does as she is told unless she is too tired or hungry. Can mingle in a large crowd or party, if absolutely necessary, but will probably be silent the remainder of the night for it. She has short flares of temper according to her kind-see weaknesses above.
History: Daughter of a famous musician, she only uses her 'singing' power when lost at night or breaking out of a windowed cell. Her father was drafted after her second birthday and died in action, her mother died seven years before and left her in charge of her music teacher. The music teacher, jealous of her student's success, tried to get rid of Yari. Running away at 12 years old, she took her mother's cloak and stowed away on the first ship heading out and away. Her mother always kept the fact that she was Loren, a secret and so Yari does the same with hers. She just wants to get away from everything and to find somewhere to call home.
