There is something wrong with you if you don't cry during Steel Magnolias. The Color Purple gets me too.

What is that movie with Sandra Bullock? The one where her husband's girlfriend outs their relationship on a talk show. I can't remember the name but the scene where the little girl is trying to go with her dad and he is pushing her away because he doesn't want her. The little girl is screaming. I sob uncontrollably during that one.

I busted out laughing in Steel Magnolias because the comic relief was great.

That was Hope Floats and that scene is gut wrenching.

Yep...too twisted for color TV.

Dare I say that I can't stand Steel Magnolias.

Let's see...

Turner & Hooch (when Hooch dies)
Saving Private Ryan (the beginning)
Flags of our Fathers (the end)
We were Soldiers (one of my favourites as well)
300 (when the queen sees only one soldier return)
Man in the Iron Mask (when D'artanagn died)

I think that's it for now.

Crash- I have a 'mulitcultural' background and some of the scenes are very heartbreaking for me; one scene in particular reminds me of something in my own life

Schindler's List- the girl in the red coat, the old man in the work chain, Schindler and the pin, the closing sequence (actors and real people)

My Girl and Bridge to Terabithia- my sister says she only watches movies where a main character dies LOL

The Guardian- esp. since they used the original ending

I forgot about Schindler's List. I pretty much was choked up through the whole thing, but the part with the little girl in the red coat was heart wrenching.

Alien vs Pretetor 2 J/K

I have cried in most of these movies too. I hate movies when Kids die. That is the hardest for me.

I cried a lot during that movie. Not only those times, but also the scene where the ashes are in the air.

That scene stays with me for a different reason. I lived through the 2003 and 2006 Cali. wildfires, and that was literally happening- cars, people, blacktop covered with raining ash- and that movie is what I always thought of...

I read these posts in their entirety and was struck by the differences between us. Some that other people find heart-wrenching don't effect others of us at all and vice-versa. Another way I suppose in which we all fit together...,in which we all need each other in the body of Christ.

Very few movies have made me cry. Most holding this honour are
Housekkeeping (this movie is sublime)
The Deer Hunter
Truly, Madly Deeply

Passion of the Christ-I cannot stand the sight of my saviour all bloody and beaten. It breaks my heart!
