Steel Magnolias - (The cemetary scene)

Saving Private Ryan (When I think of all the lives that were sacraficed so I am guaranteed to have the freedoms that I enjoy every day . . . )
Out of Africa
Cinderella Man (When he tells his son that he will not send them away! WAAAAAAA!)
The Thorn Birds
The Passion of Christ

I haven't seen The Notebook because it came out during the time I was going through my divorce. I know the plot line and I just couldn't watch it knowing that I didn't have someone who would stand by me like that . . . that's enough to make me cry just thinking about it.

Deep Impact - the smart person's version of Armaggedon. Tearful parts are when Tea Leoni gives her seat on the escape helicopter to the little girl, when her and her dad are talking in the final minutes, when the parents force their daughter to escape on the motocycle during the traffic jam to escape the tidal wave path from the metorite impact, when the astronaunts are saying their goodbyes via satellite just before they drive the ship into the meteorite.

The Outsiders - Johnny's death

Ok...This is embarrassing to admit, but I cried during "Castaway" when Wilson fell off the raft and he couldn't get to him... And all through the rest of the movie I sat there hoping Wilson would turn up on a beach (Is that so much to ask??)... My husband DIED LAUGHING at me for that one!

Didn't anyone else cry over that? Or am I the only one??

Let's just proclaim now that you're the only one and btw I named my cat Wilson because of that movie.

I haven't seen that movie in so long! It was good!

Is this the one with Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour? If so, yeah, it's so sweet and tearjerking, and all-around good romantic movie.

Pretty much every movie that everyone else has listed that I've seen, I've cried at. Especially the ones involving animals or kids....I'm a basket case with Old Yeller and Where the Red Fern Grows. And with Steel Magnolias, doesn't matter how many times I've seen it.

The last movie I bawled at was Click with Adam Sandler....and I mean BAWLED!!! Him realizing how much he missed of his kid's lives. Tore me up.

No one has mentioned Gone With the Wind,
Test Pilot
I could go on and on and on.....

Gone With the Wind is an interesting one. . .I am always way too mad at Scarlett to feel too sorry for her when Bonnie dies, but then I feel so bad for Rhett that I cry anyway.

Dance.... I cry all the way from Bonnie Blue's death until the end.

Test Pilot stars Clark Gable, Spencer Tracy and Myrna Loy. Gable and Tracy are test pilots
and Spencer Tracy dies. I haven't seen it in forever so I don't remember the story exactly, but I always cry.

"The Passion" viewed 5 times, once behind bars with the men at the state prison, very powerful, not a dry eye in the room at the end and so quiet you could hear a pin drop.

"The Guardian" for the incredible courage our men and women of the CG as they face enormous danger, peacetime or wartime, with barely a whimper and few to see, save for a film like this. This particular duty set in the coldest and wildest region of our country seperates the men from the boys and the women from the girls.

I choked up at the end of Hope Floats when little Bernice packs her stuff to go with her daddy and he won't take her away with him.

I cried buckets watching My Girl.

I don't think I ever thought of that as a tear jerker. Definitely one of my favorites!

SPOILER ALERT:

The Notebook might be on top. I lost it when James Garner started crying.

Saving Private Ryan also got me. I don't think I've ever cried harder at a movie. I probably cried for 10 minutes after it was over, and it didn't help me stop when it was deadly quiet in the packed theater except for some people exiting very reverently and the rest weeping in their seats like me. I've never experienced anything like that in a movie theatre before or since. Even The Passion of Christ did not have that effect on people although there was a very reverent attitude. No one even seemed to eat popcorn at that movie. It seemed disrespectful to do so.

I generallly can't stand watching tear jerkers, because I hate to cry. So if I know a movie to be super sad, I don't even bother with it.

But I made the mistake of watching P.S. I Love You one night.

I cried for nearly the entire movie... and then some afterwards.

Now, is that from the movie itself, or from the way it murdered both franchises in one blow? : D
