I'm looking forward to:
- Rayman's Raving Rabbid's (Wii)

One of the better Ubisoft titles on the Wii.

I was thinking the other day, there really needs to be a remake of The Incredible Machine on the Wii.

Speaking of old games, there are a bunch I wish I could easily get from an online service like Steam or Gametap, rather than having to hunt around for game not sold in stores anymore. On my wish list:
  • Maniac Mansion, Day of the Tentacle, Loom, Sam & Max Hit the Road and other LucasArts adventure games I missed out on when they discontinued their Archives series of game bundles
  • Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force (not the best FPS game ever, but I'm watching DS9 on DVD and I want a Trek game.)
  • Indiana Jones and His Desktop Adventures

heheh...... easy tigger. My favorite exposure to Halo was playing the opening level of the first single player campaign. Right when you grab the grenades. They have a couple of nice barriers set up and a coupld alien scum on the other side (the squeaky voice dudes). So I stand up quick, toss a grenade and duck back down behind the barrier....... tick, tick, BOOM! I then hear this little "aaaaaaaAAAAIIIIIEEEEE!" as a little alien dude comes flailing right over the top of the barrier with smoke and flames coming up behind him. It made me laugh for the next hour. For some reason I was thinking of a Monty Python sketch, even though the two were nothing similar.... maybe I just need help.

Hehe, those little grunts are great. My favorite moment with those little guys was when my friend and I were totally pwning them on co-op. I mean we were dominating their world.
When suddenly, out of nowhere a plasma grenade takes out both of us.
And as the screen pans out from our demise I hear one of the little guys in their squeaky little voices. "Did you see that? Did you see that!? That was me! I DID IT!!"

    Heh heh....it was almost cute.

hehe..... that is the absolute HIEGHT of disrespect. I love it when games talk trash to the players. Atomic Bomberman was always really good at that.... "That was a bomb, stupid!"

    Did someone call for Gamers?

Ok, ok, ok lemme see I can agree with all the good stuff about Halo. *glee* I remember when I use to pull the Weekend shut-in with that game. Aw, the memoires were sweet and innocent. That and Soul Calibur are my games on the console. I also like to play Monster Hunter on the PSP. I WAS trying to put Bioshock on my computer...but it won't play. So now I have a $60 game in my possesion that won't play. But I just recently put Battle for Middle Earth on it and I've yet to play it. Mebbe I'll lurve it.

I also play World of Warcraft. MMORPGs are my thing and WoW will be close to my heart forever. My twin plays it as well.

By the way........... Soul Calibur and Mortal Kombat were freakin' amazing games... too bad they are "done" with the MK series, eh? Oh, and my money says that there will be another one in a couple years or so.

oh yeah definitely, from what I heards, the last mortal Kombat was meant to be "the last MK on CURRENT gen consoles".

I got the new one for my wife by the way, though I haven't gotten for fiddle with it due to being deployed, can anyone tell me wether or not they ACTUALLY did away with character exclusive fatalities?!?!?!

    Gears of War?

    ---

Lately I've been playing Team Fortress 2 (those who pre-order the Orange Box get to play some final Beta testing). I'm quite surprised that it runs well enough on my PC to play (1.4Ghz Athlon XP, 768MB RAM, Radeon 9600XT). Sure, big firefights become slide shows, but there are some classes I can play well enough to have fun. Oddly enough, I've found Snipers are easier to play than Medics, when I would have expected the opposite. I don't know if I'm just terrible at being a Spy, or if I need a smoother framerate to easily pull off a backstab and quickly change disguises.

It is a beautiful game, though. The art design is simply fantastic. I really wish I had a better machine to play it on, though. *sigh* Maybe in a few months.

Lol, I really need to upgrade my gaming computer... I really want one of the new Dell XPS systems (the bigger one.... I think it's the 720?). The liquid cooled processor is just too much, I can't imagine using that much horsepower in your computing, but the $800 model looks good.

Right now I am working with a Pentium 4 2.2Ghz, 1GB SDDR-RAM, Nvidia Geforce FX 5500 (256-PCI)... and it's killing me. I wanted to upgrade my 3D card, but all of the bigger ones are the PCI-E cards instead of PCI. So to upgrade my memory card would require an upgrade to the motherboard too.

Halo is a real classic in the FPS world. The Halo 3 release is going to be craaaaazy. Anybody know what the difference between the regular, Limited, and Legendary editions are off the top of their head? I have people asking about it at work and I haven't had time to look yet.

I kind of need to update my 3D card... if anybody has a hook up on an Nvidia GeForce (7000 or better) for a PCI bus, let me know. My processor is fast enough for most of the newer stuff (sans Rainbow Six: Vegas... who actually has a 3Ghz processor anyway?), so I'm not really worried about that one for a while. I've been on something of a Battle for Middle Earth craze recently, but I gotta love the James Bond games too... my roommate has me hooked on Metroid Prime 3 for the Wii, so I guess I'm a goner for sure...

    Adam

Personally I can't see how anyone can stand the multi player Halo. Even if its on PC I don't think I would even want to play it. The single player is ok, but I dont normally do single player FPS. multiplayer Halo is like playing in slow motion and with all that armor on why the heck do you moon jump? you can't run away from anything or dodge anything.

The only fps I can stand playing are Quake 3 and 4 and Doom 3 on PC. On occasion I will play Goldeneye 007 for xbox or ps2 with friends. But quake is the best FPS. its fast paced and you can dodge missiles and run away if you need to go find health or more ammo.

Ahh, gamers :D I play a lil bit of stuff here n there. I think I have to wait for the weekend to get Halo 3, but I am excited.

I don't play any comp games, but I want to find something that I enjoy.
