I'd like to thank God for His mercy, His grace, and His love. But I would also like to thank Him for leading me to this site. If anyone has spent any time in the Comcast.net forum, you would surely understand. I like to chat, but those folks are so, so negative about everything. Not to mention hateful if you try to post anything that mentions God. A thread that drove me out of there was a thread asking why this country supports Israel. My response about God blessing those who bless Israel, and curses those who curse Israel really ticked some folks off. It'd be funny if it wasn't so sad. There are several who post all over that God is and Jesus is nothing but a fairy tale. That stuff get's pretty discouraging to those of us who know better. That is why I am so thankful for a positive place to go to chat and connect with others.

I want to thank God for His encouragement. God really does know everything we are thinking.
Psalm 139: 1-6
1 O LORD, You have searched me and known me.
2 You know my sitting down and my rising up;
You understand my thought afar off.
3 You comprehend my path and my lying down,
And are acquainted with all my ways.
4 For there is not a word on my tongue,
But behold, O LORD, You know it altogether.
5 You have hedged me behind and before,
And laid Your hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
It is high, I cannot attain it......
This past week, I have been struggling with a situation which is very long and drawn out and I am pretty weary at this point. I didn't want to admit to this because I believed I would not be a very mature Christian for doing so! However, I opened up to God about my weariness this morning. Just a little while ago, I tore off yesterdays page re: my Joyce Meyer desk calendar to reveal the encouraging note for today. It reads as follows:

GOD, i want to thank You for all the many, many times in my life You have been so Merciful to me.
Especially, those times when i did not recognize or acknowledge Your Mercy -- i deserved Your wrath but yet You protected me and You were merciful.

The question for me is what don't I want to thank God for. I thank God for every hour, every minute, every second and every millisecond of every day be it good or bad.

That my niece wasn't hurt nearly as badly as she could have been when an accidental kitchen fire burned her arm. She's going to be fine, and I'm so thankful!
