Memaw...has you doctor suggested a plan of action or will you be "riding it out" so to speak with the next period?

I just started mine...ugh...I'm so flippin' tired. so everything I need to this week will be in slow motion. fabulous

She ran several blood tests (waiting on results from them) and waiting to get me in the program I was telling you all about for the sonogram. She said it could take a couple of months for that.
So yeah, waiting it out till then.
I can still feel where the biopsy was taken from, it's a really strange feeling..and (maybe TMI), but it hurts during intimacy in that same spot.
The other morning I was woken up by really bad pain which felt like it was coming from ovary area, on both sides though...strange.

RE: Intimacy - I had some discomfort too, but it got better over time and now, I don't notice it at all.

Aunt Flo came back yesterday. The last two times she came to visit I was wearing a new, beige outfit. I wore it to church yesterday. That's three times in a row that she has come to visit me and I've had that outfit on. I think she just likes the outfit, so I'm gonna let her take it with her this time and that way she won't have to ever come back again.

Aunt Flo always shows up in the middle of the night for me. I guess it's better than it hitting while in the hallway w/ a bunch of students. That would be embarrassing!

I had the worst weekend. I left work early Friday due to a headache I could not control. I threw up several times. All weekend it was battling the headache & the stomach. Sunday, it was dead center in the sinuses. After doing the MJ (taking numerous meds) finally got something in my system to relieve it. All yesterday, I had a rotten stomach. I'm starting to feel somewhat human today. My boss is ready to take me out back & put me out of my misery. I told her that God would tell her she shouldn't have done it because I only had one month left! LOL

Oh well, if it's meant to be, at least it happens mostly on the weekends. My periods always seem to start early Friday morning. Thank the Lord for progesterone! k

Unfortunately this is another one of her incredibly painful visits. Glad I don't have any plans to go on a long trip anywhere this week.

That's what I'm wondering right now and I'm only on day 3 this time. Starting to think I should just fix my laptop and go hang out in the bathroom all day.

I got my blood test results back and everything except HDL cholesterol is good.
I kind of expected that since I really like cheeseburgers and I'm a smoker.

Doing some research on HDL, I found out that Niacin can help raise it, I'm going to call Monday and see what Dr says about taking it.

As I am new here I hope I have not jumped in on the back of a different thread, if I have I am sorry.

I am 55 years old, had a hysterectomy 19 years ago, it didn't go well and I had numerous operations after that. Apparently there was a minuscule portion of ovary left and it began to grow and try to ovulate every month. That was painful and ended up either having stuff aspirated or re-opening again to do a better job. After the 11th time of going to theatre 3 of them major operations I said enough was enough and tried to ride it out. It just grew and grew till it burst so after another operation and pulmonary embolism as well the doctors decided to stop HRT.

Its been a long haul since then and now my power surges are almost constant, highs and lows just as bad at times. So is there anything else any of you take to combat these as quite apart from my general ill health it is getting harder to keep going.

Hi padds! I would check with your dr. about black cohash. I have also found that green tea has been helpful for me for a variety of ailments and to keep from getting sick.

Wow! Why didn't they just go in and remove what was left of the ovary? What you went through sounds horrific.

Thanks, I am off to the doctor tomorrow so will ask about the black cohash, anything has to be better than this.

As you can imagine there was a lot of talk about what to do and I remember going for another internal scan and right there on the screen was a perfect picture of an ovary complete with tube! That was after having had them both taken away 5 months before. As I went in for the other operations they kept telling me they had removed not only a lot of adhesions but as much as they could around the problem area.

The last one I had was when it burst open and informed me that most had been scraped away but to take all of it would mean a colostomy. My Doctor then asked for another opinion and I had a course of injections, some form of male hormone, we laughed at the time and my husband checked each morning to see if I had grown a beard, lol. Laughter was the only medicine that got both of us through as I had not come to Christ then.

As I am now I can tell if its that time of the month despite no womb etc and the constant power surges really are draining me. To go back onto HRT even after all these years would be a bad move I think. Thankyou for listening, it does help.

Quitting HRT sounds like a good thing. Check into progesterone & see if that's warranted. k

I have been so blessed to never have been on HRT. I really don't know too much about it.

AF appears to be packing her bags and leaving after a nine day visit. I hope she doesn't come back too soon. She pretty much has worn out her welcome here. I only have enough stuff for her for about two more days and I do not feel like shopping! So, she's gonna have to go!
