Okay, we are all hunting for cheap gas out there. Wonder if anyone has found cheap Depends or anything similar to Depends out there. W/ gas being so high, my gosh, it's hard to buy both. Obviously, I have to have both! kd

I was doing a search yesterday and I don't know if you have tried Serenity or not, but they are lower in price than Depends.

I go in on the 29th for my "Well Woman"physical.
I really dread it because this doctor is extremely thorough. I know that's good, but she manipulates and prods and checks EVERYWHERE!

It is a necessary evil I know, but wowsers, I come out of there feeling just a bit "overtouched" KWIM?
Unfortunately she is the only dr who will do the exam in this po-dunk town.

I had looked at Serenity, but couldn't determine if the size was adequate for me. I use the super large in Depends. I will remember to look more carefully at them next time.

Yes, I know about them thorough doctors. I've been going to mine for about 15 years now because I like her technique, but w/ having vaginimus & interstitial cystitis, I don't much look forward to the visits, but I know I need to do them.

I also need her to check out a couple of bumps on my next appointment. I think one is just a skin tag way up on my inner thigh, but there is one just outside my rectum that I can't see. So, I hate going now mostly because of something new I'm dealing w/ & not knowing what to expect. I hope maybe she can get rid of them w/o much pain involved. kd

Oh I've been getting alot of those lately.
On my neck, the sides of my breasts, seems like they are popping up everywhere.
Getting old is NOT fun.
And in my case, not very attractive either.

I saw my female doctor today and she said that I'm in menopause. She put me back on the cancer preventive medicine Arimidex and Paxil, which I will continue to take for another year. The Armidex will help with the mood swings. She also did blood work on me to check my hormone levels and thriod to see where I'm at. I'm scheduled to return to her on 10/21 to get the results of the blood tests and find out what avenue I'm to go next. Thanks for your prayers.

So, it's not unusual to get a skin tag down there? kd

While classic skin tags are typically very characteristic in appearance and occur in specific locations such as the underarms, necks, under breasts, eyelids and groin folds, there are tags that may occur in less obvious locations.

Other skin growths that may look similar to a skin tag but are not tags include moles (dermal nevus), nerve and fiber-type moles (neurofibromas), warts, and "barnacles" or "Rice Krispies" (seborrheic keratosis).

Warts tend to be rougher, with a "warty" irregular surface whereas skin tags are usually smooth. Warts tend to be flat whereas tags are more like bumps hanging from thin stalk. While warts are almost entirely caused by human papilloma virus (HPV), tags are only sometimes associated with HPV.

Groin and genital lesions resembling skin tags may actually be genital warts or condyloma. A biopsy would help diagnose which of these growths are not skin tags. Very rarely, a basal cell skin or squamous cancer or melanoma may mimic a skin tag, but this is very uncommon.

It's not quite that far up. If I can figure what could have caused it, it could be an irritation from panty liners, area being too moist, for too long, something like that. I should probably be more concerned w/ the bump right inside my butt cheek. It's quite soft, & seems to have some fluid in it. That will probably be the one that will need further examination. kd

Karen, it could possibly be a Perianal cyst.

My sister has had two surgeries within the past couple of months to remove them while I am dealing with perianal abscesses.

That was helpful. Thanks. Since it is not right at the anus, it doesn't cause any BM problems, but I do have some problems w/ OBS, so I see where they may relate. Never had any pain or swelling w/ it. I will be glad to get this resolved. kd

I haven't had one since July 29. I'm going in for my pap in mid October so I sure hope it doesn't start then. He'll go ahead and do it if it's a light flow though.

This thread is functioning in a different manner than I anticipated.
I can look back to see how my cycle has fluctuated and know my last start date.

It does help keep track of things, doesn't it?

I'm starting another cycle today. At least this one isn't a painful as last month. It's more of a normal cycle.

It sounds like we're on the same schedule, except this one is really painful for me.

You know, when I was still at school, a couple of our teachers would take some of the girls to the Old Bailey, a big court in London, as part of a course. Oftentimes a teacher would say 'I'm going to court on Monday' and the immedite response would be (from the girls) 'Why? What've you done?'.

Done deal

I had my pap yesterday, doc used a new instrument this time. She said they don't use the three different ones anymore, it is now just one. I kept waiting for the 2nd and 3rd (shudder) but they didn't come.

She is about my age or older and was real fun to discuss saggy boobs while she was giving me a breast exam.

On the bright side, she did tell me that I am probably as "drooped" as I will get, now we are just waiting for them to deflate.

Edited to add
I have the "BIG boob-squeeze" aka mammogram scheduled for Friday morning.

The bumps are just skin tags. No problem.

One tool! I sure would like that. Maybe I'd be less likely to start periods early if one tool did the job! Knowing Alabama, it'll be a few years before we switch to this.

Saggy boobs! Not me. Since breast reduction, I think my doc stays confused. She thinks there's a lump when there isn't. Thank goodness my mammograms still go to my surgeon. The radiologist told me when she saw her first mammogram post surgery, she almost flipped out thinking there was tons of cancer. She's learned how to read them since then. I'm not too concerned that the doc thinks there's something. I can't feel it, & she even asked me to feel where she was feeling. Thank goodness it's on Friday, so I won't have to wait too long. k
