Malachi is a good name. When I was a teenager, my mother told me the perfect way to pick a child's name (as if I needed that info then). She said go to your backyard and yell the name at the top of your lungs ten times. If it still sounds good, go with it.

I wondered if you did!

His nickname will be "Chi" (pronounced: Ky).

We didn't care for "Mal"

Neat. There are two little boys named Malachi in my small church...boy, if your family went to my church, things would really be crazy!

I know. We have an amazing number of duplications for around 50 people. Two Nathans, two Malachis, two Matthews, and two Rachels.

We tried to pick an unusual biblical name that we liked. We did well on our daughter "Mysia" (pronounced: Miss-ee-uh).

I wasn't to keen on Matt Jr. !

The due date is actually Sept 14th, but I think that it was estimated wrong.

And Noah.... yep that would be cool. It may take me away from going and seeing MTT!

I like creative Biblical names. It shows both that the parents thought about the name and are Biblically literate.

Yeah... "Biblically literate".... we found out what her name means after she was born, "to wake one from sleep!"
