How long have you been posting/lurking?
A few weeks

What do you enjoy doing?
I enjoy: serving the Lord in the administrative way; singing in our church choir; watching my kids interact with each other; outdoor concerts; watching sunsets; people watching; amusement parks; cuddling; tickling; massages; cake decorating; road trips; dancing and bubble baths.

Tell us a little about yourself:
I am from the island of O'ahu, Hawaii, presently living in Central Florida, have four kids ages 25, 22, 18, and 11, one son inlaw, and a three year old grand daughter. All four children are musicians: 1 violinist, 2 flutist, and 1 trombonist. They are my precious jewels. I work for the music pastor at our church and also coordinate volunteers for our front lobby. My single-hood began three years ago after 20+ years of marriage. My long term goal is to return to Hawaii.

Like what? Are you from Hawaii? Do you work at a church? Do you have children that are musicians?

Not from Hawaii. Work at church as music director (very small church). Children are musicians. 4 of them, 25, 22, 15, 11. Singlehood began after 18 years 18 days of marriage (he was killed in a hit-and-run accident).

Like: singing in our church choir; watching my kids interact with each other; watching sunsets; people watching; cuddling; tickling; cake decorating; dancing and bubble baths, too.

Wow! Our children ages are the same except for the 15 and 18 year old. The first two of mine are girls, then the boy, finally a girl. You are not kidding when you say we have lots in common. I lost my husband to addiction. Aloha!

Welcome, Joe! Thanks for taking time to tell us more. We have this thread so the front page of the forums doesn't get cluttered up with introductions, and this way, everyone tells us the same thing! It's good.

Take a look around - try out the flirt thread (it's all in good fun) if you need help in talking to women. Dive into the chat thread - that's where we're all just a bit crazy. I promise, we don't bite.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Again, welcome to the forums!

Mutiny, thanks...I was looking at your pic and God gave you a lot of beauty. I like to say that to strangers in person at least 10 times, you kind of have to limit that to females too. Men do not really take it that well.

How long lurking: Haven't done much. Off and on for maybe a year. Have just joined, so now I can post.
Enjoyments: Good conversation; being active as much as I can - some weightlifting, swimming, gardening, home improvement; online investing; learning about almost anything.
A little about me: Born in 1960, born again in 1976, never married, love cats (I have two). I work part time because of a chronic illness which affects many things including sleep, energy levels and attention. Otherwise I look and act perfectly healthy. I'm an introvert, but very interested in other people. Have studied lots of psychology because human behavior is fascinating to me. Don't worry though - I don't psychoanalyze everyone I meet Looking forward to interacting with others, possibly even with the few who are in my shoes (older and never married).

Welcome Sue! You're only a year older than me, and I'm in your same shoes. We look forward to getting to know you better!

How long have you been posting/lurking?: Just today.

What do you enjoy doing?: Drinking caramel machiattos from Starbucks, watching movies, reading books, meeting fun people, doing crafty things (which I can't really afford to do, nor am I really that good at it).

Tell us a little about yourself: I am 29 and single. Sometimes that really stinks because all of my good friends are married with children, or at least married. I have been a "church-goer" off and on (holidays) most of my life, but just recently accepted Christ as my Savior (officially said the prayer), and have been trying to grow in that relationship each day. I am hoping to meet some really nice friends who are in similar places in their lives.

Peace & Blessings,
B

Right here - but it's the first post - you do NOT have to read ALL the pages - there are too many. Just go read the first few and final few to get an idea, and post away.

LOLOLOL!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks, I think?

I'm not on during the day right now, except for when a new thread gets started and I get notified...otherwise, I don't have time to be on here all day long. But, where there are issues, I do jump right in.

I'm on at night because I'm working on other things and using this as a "brain break" from studying or life.

How long have you been posting/lurking?:I just signed onto the site a few days ago. So since 8/12

What do you enjoy doing?:I love to read, sleep, cook, clean, sleep, play with my children, hike, write and did I mention sleep?

Tell us a little about yourself: I am a divorced mother with 3 children. I am starting my life with Christ anew, and still have so much to learn. But each day is a new opportunity to grow closer to God. He hasn't given up on me yet, and I owe God so much praise for that.
