Hey... My name is Ruth a/k/a T's mom

I am a single mom with a beautiful beautiful (at least I think so) daughter who is 10 going on 21. We live in South Louisiana. Being single I work outside of the home. I have been at my current job for 2 months now, as soon as I figure out what I am supposed to be doing I will let you know what I do for a living. In the 8 weeks that I have been here I haven't done much. Actually I just got computer access this week!

I was married for a very short time less than 2 years I think. During that time we may have actually been in the same house 6 months. Very big mistake!

We are currently looking for a church. I was very involved in my church, but got hurt and haven't been back in almost a year. So many people are in leadership that don't need to be. I think it does more damage to the kingdom of God that it does good.

I have VERY STRONG beliefs in God that are very important to me. For the most part our lives revolve around them. I am growing every day and becoming stronger. I want to be more like Jesus and I want to love like Jesus loves.

I am sure I have MUCH more to say, I just having to figure it all out.

Welcome Ruth! We're VERY happy to have you here. You will find many in your same situation.

Please don't let the size of some threads scare you off - the chat thread is for that - chat. Just jump on in and say something - we don't bite (well, most of us don't, that is. )

We're happy you found us. Please take a look around and make yourself at home. And if you make a post in the prayer thread - I can guarantee that many DO pray, even if they don't post.

Any questions - just ask.

Name: I go by RJ, Rackattack, Raika and Rocky mountain. None of these are my name. I'm a firm believer in "a rose by any other name..."

Location: The great state of Texas

Lurking: Can't remember been so long but decided to start posting and interacting with America again

Enjoy: A good book, watching foreign movies, learning about cultures and people, A nice walk, college & pro football. I like European football or soccer (Go Manchester U!).

About me: Geez, I can't stand this question. There's so much about me to say. I'm a mystery. I watch ESPN constantly along with the FoodNetwork. I can't watch movies about slavery, holocaust and war because it just makes me cry, depressed and angy. However, if there's a Will Ferrell or Jack Black movie, I want to watch.

Name: Laura

Location: Texas

Posting/Lurking: Been lurking forever yet never posting

Enjoy: Reading, contemporary Christian music, concerts, cooking, talking to friends, crafts, and many other things I can't think of right now.

About me: I am recently divorced, not by choice (4 months ago to be exact...my ex-husband is already remarried ). I have 4 awesome kids--2 boys and 2 girls. Praise God, I'm still able to be a stay at home/homeschool mom at this time when my kids REALLY need me. I hope to get remarried someday, but I'm in no rush!

Name: Jaynelle... pronounced "Ja-nell"

Location: Omaha, NE...Represent!
How long have you been posting/lurking?: Well, This is my first time on here, and this is my first post!

What do you enjoy doing?: Let see, I enjoy doing a lot of things! Playing basketball (Just made my college team!) Hanging out with friends, listening to good worship music, anything associated with being outside, learning and growing with the Lord...wow, I could go on for a while, but I think this is a good start!

Tell us a little about yourself:
Well, I'm about 5'10...I know, its pretty tall... blonde hair, blue eyes. I just finished my first year of college! yeah exciting! My major is psychology right now, then I plan on getting my masters degree in counseling. I have always had a heart to serve and help people in need. Also, I plan on going on mission trips if I can! I'm only 19, still young! I have been saved since I was 11 years old, but really I have only been walking with the Lord for about a year now. I've been known to be a shy person, but I've been really working on stepping out and meeting new people! I'm an easy going person, and I just love to joke around and have fun!!

I first visited the "map" subject area and intro'd myself there, then saw this ; )

I am Ronni, live in Colorado Springs, CO altho I have lived on both coasts the past 25 years (USN), love the outdoors, finishing an M.A. in Christian counseling with Liberty U's distance learning, divorced, have kids, have a long list of things I want to do in new found singledom, and now enjoy learning the blessing of being married to Jesus - so the future is something I look forward to.
