Hey guys! I had the opportunity to attend a Legacy Five concert last night! We drove four hours to get there, and they sure put on a great performance. The church was packed - they even set up folding chairs down the isle!!! We had a front row seat! I had the chance to talk to Frank Seamans and request I Stand Redeemed. He told me I was the third person to request that song and he would give the request to Scott F. My sister (who came with me) asked him when would be the best time to get a pic with the group. He recommended intermission.

L5 opened with O Say But I’m Glad and went into The Moment I Get Up There and Strike Up The Band. Scott Fowler announced that his brother and sister-in-law were there and so was Tim’s parents. Tim received a standing ovation for his piano solo In My Heart There Rings A Melody. They had everyone sing What A Day That Will Be and Because He Lives with them, then Tim sang God’s Been Good. Frank did a spectacular job introducing Hello After Goodbye. The love offering was taken next. So I was expecting the ushers to pass offering plates/bags, right? What did they come walking down the isle holding in their hands? . . . KFC buckets! Maybe you have seen them used at other venues before, but I never have . . .and boy did it strike me funny! As hard as I tried to stay focused as the pastor prayed, visions of drum sticks danced in my head. Now, I consider myself a fairly seasoned concert goer (I counted 48 last year) but I have never seen KFC buckets used as offering plates before! J

At intermission, my sister and I made our way back to pursue a pic with the group. When we arrived at the table, it was buzzing with people, so we stood off to the side to wait for a free moment. Frank saw us waiting off to the side and announced to the other three at the table, “We need to take a picture with that young lady!” - He then took on the arduous task of getting Scott Fowler’s attention. After a number of attempts, he instructed my sister to walk over and fetch him. When my sister returned without him, the guys knowingly remarked, “You couldn’t get him, could you?” Later on, I was crushed to find out that Scott snubbed my sister. She felt really bad and I felt even worse. Anyway, Frank made sure I was well taken care of. Glenn bid me to come behind the table with them and Howard instructed me to “stand right here”. The guys were friendly and funny, they really seem to appreciate their fans!!!

The second set started off with the fan requests which Fowler had written down on a piece of paper. They did What Faith Does, God Will Go, and Peace. They sang some old songs around the piano like Go Right Out and Jericho Road. Fowler said they wanted to do a song they had never done before to get ready for NQC - Every Morning. Scott took his Bible, mic and mic stand to the center of the stage. While trying to talk, get his mic on the stand, and hold his Bible, he dropped his mic. Quickly picking his mic up off the floor, he told the audience that reminded him of something that had happened to him in Canada. He said, “Up there in Canada they have the world’s largest mall, and inside that mall there is a 50’s diner. They had the mini jukebox’s on the tables where you put your quarter in and select your song. Well, I love Elvis Presley and as the waitress came to the table to take our order, I was singing along with the Elvis Presley song that was playing and she looked at me and said, ‘You better keep your day job.’” The entire audience roared with laughter as Scott gave them a puzzled look. L5 closed the evening with a powerful Truth Is Marching On.

My final review of the night: I wish Scott Fowler had been friendlier, however, the other guys took really good care of me (especially Frank). Although they didn’t sing I Stand Redeemed, Peace made up for it! They were really wound up on stage and after driving four hours to see them - I was very impressed.

I can guarantee that Scott was not snubbing your sister. He is a very friendly guy. Sometimes it's just hard to break out when so many others are around the table. I think the best time to take pictures is any time that they aren't tied up with a wildly busy product table! We got my avatar picture when we waited after the concert until almost everyone else was gone. Had a really nice visit with Gerald then.

It is very hard for one artist to help/talk/take pics with all the people in attendance. And Scott Fowler is one of the nicest guys in the world. One of his traits that is very admirable is he gives the person he is talking to his FULL attention so interrupting him to get him to go elsewhere is hard. But imagine if you are the person he is talking to, you know he is listening to you because nothing distracts him.

Have I seen him unable to get to everyone who wanted to talk to him? I sure have. Have I ever seen him snub someone intentionally? NEVER and I doubt I ever will. I've seen him hundreds of times in various places that is not Scott, he doesn't have it in him.

Couldn't agree more!

I was talking to him last year and someone else butted in, then another.....well, we never finished talking. That reminds me, will have to try and finish that conversation in Dec, if I even get the chance!

Thanks for you input regarding Scott. I do not know him as well as you guys do. But I do want to clear up a few things that were mentioned above especially since I AGREE with every point you made. First thing you must know is that Frank TOLD me to come at intermission for my group photo b/c after the concert he said that he and Scott were the only two who would be at the table - the other three go to the bus to change and tear down. Secondly, Scott was not behind the table (he was the only one who was not). Third, I do not know what Scott's intentions were and I never meant to imply that it was intentional. I guess I wasn't clear that Frank had called us to the table after it had cleared. It was busy when we walked out, but we waited for them to finish with the people at the table. I would not be so rude as to pull them away from a busy table - that is how they make their living and I do appreciate that fact. So, after Frank tried to get his attention several times, he instructed my sister to walk over and get him. Now think about it. Frank is calling his name, then this young lady walks over and stands in line (NOT interrupting him) to talk with him. When her turn came to talk to him, she started to speak, he LQQKED her in the eyes and turned around and walked away. It would be hard to say that isn't being rude, albeit, unintentionally. My sister was shocked. To make matters worse, the guys behind the table acknowledged it. Was Scott having a bad night? Even if he was, what if that had been an unsaved person waiting to talk to him?

Maybe in of itself, someone walking away from you in that situation isn't such a bad thing. Even with Frank calling to him when he was only five feet away from him. Several times. But what dashed my spirits was that this was my sister's first impression of Scott, since it was the first time she saw them in person. First impressions make a lasting impression.

The point I was making in my post was that as bad as that experience was, the other four guys well made up for it! They were very friendly and funny and my sister did like them! As you'll notice, I chose not to elaborate on the negative, b/c that wasn't my focus! Even though something unpleasant happened, it was an awesome time.

When I posted my concert review, I was pumped! I never expected to come on here read comments suggesting that I was interrupting, pulling guys away from a busy table, saying Scott did that "intentionally", etc. I thought you guys were my friends and fellow L5 fans. We have to remember, even our favorites are not perfect all the time - they're human.

I don't believe anyone meant to suggest that you were deliberately interupting or anything of the kind. I can only speak for myself but I know that my post was just to show the situation these guys and others find themselves in and how what may look one way (snubbing) could be the other (paying attention to someone he was already talking to).

And my point agrees with your last one, they are human, they can only do so much! I hope your sister gets a chance to see what a nice and funny guy Scott can be at another concert!

Thank you DeeAnn, I do understand that you were pointing out what it could have been, it's unfortunate that he was not talking to someone else nor engaged in conversation that was being interrupted. She patiently waited her turn - and he walked away.

I hope that my sister will get an opportunity to get to know Scott too. You can bet I'll be seeing them at NQC and the Roger Bennett Tribute Concert! Yeah!

Ditto Dee Ann, certainly not my intention. Just referred to a situation. We all can't be at our best everyday. I don't know how the guys do it night after night, not knowing what is going on at home, then having to deal with all of us crazy people! Right Jeff????

Hey guys I have a question has anyone been to the L5/Booth Brothers concert the Sunday before NQC, I am so excited because I just got clearance to go (so to speak)
And I was wondering how that concert usually is, and how much is parking (Was not sure if anyone was manning the gates on Sunday or not) Well anyway I am excited to say the least!!!! Any info on how these concerts are will be greatly appreciated.
This will actually be my first Legacy Five concert besides the main stage at NQC.
So I am really excited!!!!!

Oh my goodness!!! Am I EVER relieved!! And ashamed.....The whole thing that happened with Debbie Bennett was a major MISUNDERSTANDING!! (on my part, of course...) I was soooo rude, I was wrong, guys. I was! She emailed me and explained the situation; guess I was just too over-emotional about what I thought was happening, but it really was misconstrued. Chelsea and Jordan just don't reply or add people to their Facebook that they don't know, and they don't know me, so that's that. I feel like such a big heel! (Isn't the first time, LOL!) All is well now. I just had to get that off my chest since I spewed my misery out here as well. Thanks for listening!

Also, I apologize to all of you my friends, for dragging you into my foolishness. You are all most patient with me and I don't know why! And some of you just simply spoke the truth, which, though I didn't say, I do appreciate!! So then, as for me, this is all that will be said about this on my part, and we can continue with our discussion: LEGACY FIVE!

The Sunday night concert with L5 and BB was fantastic last year! Getting Michael Booth and Scott Fowler in the same place at the same time is a hoot! Lots of good singing, too! Last year Michael gave away a lot of L5 CDs! I don't remember about the parking - I think we took a shuttle bus - but parking was $5 last year when the lot was monitored (supposed to be $6 this year???)

I highly recommend it as a good way to kick off your NQC week!

I went last year and it was great. Dinana's comment about Scott and Michael together is right on target! And Michael's prayer (can't remember if it was at the beginning or the end) was - for me - a moving beginning to a fantastic week.

Parking was $5, but there was plenty of room.

Wish someone had kept track of how many CDs Michael has given away of L5s over the years. Bet Fowler has!

While surfing around I see Phil Cross has a new website and on his latest CD Legacy Five is singing Champion Of Love! You can listen to a part of it and it's great. The website is www.philcrossmusic.com. Plenty of other artists on the cd but I thought fellow Legacy Five fans would want to know.

I hope L5 is going to be at Hickory Corners in July 2009! I just looked on their website and they usually have that date scheduled the same day they are there....
